Shark and Mouse got up from their table at the restaurant, finished eating. Shark dropped off the money at the table, before following Mouse, who was leading the way with a smile and a giggle. "Can we go shopping?" she asked, practically bouncing with excitement. "Stella's so much fun!"
She was like a little kid, as always. The corners of Shark's mouth turned upwards slightly. She was one of the only people who could make him smile, not an easy feat. "I'm not sure we should, Mouse." He teased, though his voice and face were completely serious. Not even his eyes twinkled.
Mouse, however, could see right through the act, and she stuck out her tongue at him. "Onii-chan, stop it! We can too!" She announced. There were barely any people on the streets, as it was very early morning. Most people were still in bed.

In one of the alleys, a tall young boy tossed a bag of money up and down. his brown eyes watching the shadows on the ground from the dawning sun. The gingling of the coins echoed, as the streets were empty. he sighed out, and slipped the bag into his pocket and walked down the alley.
"Man this is dull.....uh?" The boy stopped, noticing the dead end, "And confusing too....sigh, other way..." He turned, but flinched, hearing noices from the street.

As Shark remained silent, corners of his mouth still slightly upturned, Mouse sighed, answering her own statement. "I guess we can't. There's practically no stores open, anyway." She looked around, casting around her gaze. "I don't see anyone out, either." Turning back to Shark, she tapped her foot impatiently. "Is there anyone here?"
Of course, Mouse would ask him that. Shark was always the one who knew if someone was there, even if you couldn't see them. He had a good nose. "Yes. I'm not sure if he's noticed us, however."
Mouse whipped around, searching for a figure. "Where? Where? Come on, Onii-chan!" She knew that he wouldn't tell her, not unless she begged, really really hard. Turning back to her adopted older brother, Mouse looked up at him pleadingly. "I don't see him anywhere!"

Hearing the voices down the alley, he pushed himself against the wall. 'Great....cornered by....god knows how many people. guh....looks like if times get nasty...I'm gonna need ya...' He thought, looking to his arm. Little did anyone know, that underneath the cloth, was a +anima mark. Something that had saved him several times. Austin shut his eyes, and calmed down, as if he was meditating.
He slowly walked forward, nearing the end of the ally, his arm held behind him. he wanted his gift to be a surprise attack, if needed.

Shark, sighing, flicked his eyes towards the direction of the alley. Mouse grinned. "Thanks, Onii-chan!" With that, she marched off towards the alleyway, seemingly carefree, though her hand rested on the hilt of one of her two swords, hidden underneath her cloak.
Something didn't seem right. Following behind his younger sister, Shark clasped his hands loosely together, ready to whip one of the them off if he had too. Never trust anyone hiding in a dark alley. Frequently, the gang was forced to hide in dark alleys. Never trust anyone hiding in a dark alley. Ever.
Mouse stopped right outside the alley. "Hello?" she called out, her voice cheerful. "Who's in there?"

'A girl?' austin thought, as he relaxed his arm, knowing he shouldn't attack her. "A solo guy. I mean no trouble..." the boy announced, clearly. Sure, he might not mean harm, but did they? He continued to walk to the end of the ally, until the light caught some of his face. Identifying the two strangers was a little tough, but judging by their looks, they were together for some reason.
He looked the girl up and down, arching a brow. Why would she be travelling with the big guy? Austin's eyes switched to look at shark. Whoa. He was a looker, and someone he wouldn't wanna mess with.

"Hello!" announced Mouse cheerfully, seeing that the guy posed no threat. "My name's Mouse, and this is Shark! What's your name?" She grinned, acting as childish as ever. No matter how old she looked, Mouse was Mouse...
Shark took a few steps forward, hitting his younger sister on the head, as he always did. "Mouse. Don't introduce us to every stranger we meet. Not everyone in Sailand is always the nicest." He looked up at the boy. "After all, he could be a theif, or a +Anima in disguise. You never know." His eyes narrowed slightly. Why would a boy be hiding in the alley, when there was no one about?
Mouse rubbed the top of her head, looking up at her brother. "Yeah, but we could take him, if he posed a threat! You know we could!" She turned back to the boy, smiling. "Not like we'd fight you, or anything. You seem harmless enough." Shark hit her on the head again.

Odd. That was the best word to describe these two. The one named 'shark' seemed to be the sensible one, while the one called 'mouse' was just a kid. great. The boy stood up straight, and coughed. "Austin...." He constantly watched shark, making sure he wouldn't lash out at him.
"Hmmm....." He hummed to himself, thinking of a way how to get away from these two. After all, these two could cause trouble.

Mouse frowned slightly. "Austin? But that's such an ordinary name!" she complained, adressing the boy. "If you're skulking around in alleys like that, you should have a name that's out of the ordinary, like ours! After all, we're named for our special talents. I'm-" She was cut off as Shark's hand clapped quickly over her mouth.
"Mouse. Stop. Snake wouldn't be happy." Shark glared slightly at his sister, removing his hand and rapping her on the head yet again. "I apologize for my sister's rudeness. She prefers things out of the ordinary. For example, +Anima." He threw it out there, waiting to see how the boy responded.
Mouse, however, was muttering under her breath, but loud enough for both of them to hear, though Shark ignored it. "Snake this, Snake that. Onii-chan, give me a break. God! I just wanna beat some ass right now, not parlay with words..."

His eyes slightly widened. 'DRAT!' he thought, 'Must hide it...' He gave an awkward smile, and nodded. "Um, i dont need a name. ill stop bothering you two, feel free to go shopping...." He turned, and the money in his pocket gingled. He shut his eyes. "....Drat...."

Mouse's eyes widened, and she smiled as she heard the jingling money. "Well, well, what have we got here? Someone's got far more money than they should..." Slipping around the side of the boy, so she was facing him, and Shark was behind him, she whipped out her two swords. "If you hand it over, we won't hurt ya." She sblack personed slightly. "Much."
Shark pulled off his gloves, revealing two hands, with the ends of sharp metal rods sticking out of each knuckle. "Sorry, kid. We've gotta gang full of hungry +Anima to feed." The two fell into a ready stance. Since no one was on the streets, they could use any advantage they wanted.
Mouse spread her grey wings, her smile growing wider. This was gonna be fun. Shark unhinged his jaw, revealing row upon row of deadly white teeth. A bite could easily take off a limb. Or a head.

Great....This was a really good situation. "Ok guys....you wanna play...." Austin said calmly, as he plunged his elbow hard into sharks stomach, and his knee into mouse' belly, "...You can play with the big boys!" He dashed for it as soon as his opening came, he held his left arm as it started to morph into a large scorpion claw. the arm then grew its tough, hard armour plating, all the way up to his shoulder. This was gonna be fun.

Shark and Mouse, both getting hit by the boy's attack, followed him, barely affected. It wasn't worth it to even block attacks anymore. Mouse, flitting into the air, landed in front of Austin, stopping him. "Wait..." her eyes widened. "You're a +Anima!" Shark stopped, from where he had been about to nail Austin with his fist.
Shark rehinged his jaw, teeth changing back to normal, and Mouse folded her wings, sheathin both of her swords in a flourish. Pulling on his gloves, Shark nodded at the boy, walking over to his sister. "Sorry. We didn't realize you were a +Anima." Putting a hand on his sister's shoulder, he spoke to her. "Mouse. Let's go."
With that, the two turned, and began walking away.

Austin watched the two walk away. come on! he was pumped now. "Guys! Come back here!" He shouted, his voice sounded a little weird, almost like he was shaking. He wanted to know why they stopped.
His arm changed back. "Wait up!" He called, as he dashed over to them, "You keep this a secret"

At Austin's words, the pair stopped, looking back at the boy, who was dashing toward them. Mouse smiled at his words. "Of course we'll keep this a secret! Why would we rat out a fellow +Anima? We're gang members, not hunters." For once, she wasn't childish, and her voice was decently serious, though still happy.
Shark reached over and ruffled the younger boy's hair. "We belong to a gang of +Anima. We won't tell anyone. And I highly doubt you would tell on us." The corners of his mouth upturned slightly, though his eyes were still as deadly as ever. "Am I right?"
