Gariel stood still, eyes closed as he was tied up. It didnt matter, his body just held him back sometimes. As long as the message got through, he'd be happy. He could suffer a bit for that. It still felt too soon to reveal himself yet. There had to be a better oportunity on the way.
The man turned to him, and Gariel returned his hard stare.
'Wouldnt you like to know' he smiled, innocent and at the same time horribly mocking. He couldnt help but feel the urge to really tick this guy off. It was clear that, if he behaved like the good boy he was, it just had no effect. Maybe the opposite would drill something into that thick skull.
'Of course, 'cause i really look like the mutant blood thirsty monsters standing before me, cause i dont give a d**n (he winced inwardly) thing about human rights or the value of life. 'Cause all i care about is getting promoted so i can go out on my merry way and slaughter or enslave even more little kiddes and really build a wonderful life for myself and all those around me!!' he gritted his teeth, cursing himself for such anger, but at the same time enjoying the rush. 'What kind of little pet are you, maybe kitten, perhaps a little puppy? More like a chicken. bald, though, no pretty feathers, pity' Gariel's tone was spiteful and taunting, more so than he ever remembered sounding, and he prayed that poor Chiera wouldnt hate him for his +anima-related insults.

Stormcrest winced at his words, but couldn't help but feel proud. Thought shocked, yes, it was actually rather refreshing. His words stirred the old Storm in her. After all, there had been a reason why Stormcrest was...well...Stormcrest. She hadn't earned her name for nothing.
The boy was visibly irritated by his words, and turned his back to Gariel and looked over at her across the fire. His eyes drifted a little as he looked out towards where the two plus anima had run.
"Soon as the Cages come, boy, I'll have them cut out yer tongue."
Stom flinched, but gave Gariel a reassuring smile. The boy was bluffing, at least she knew this from past experiences.

Gariel smiled, but the darkness in his face was still lingering. 'Go on then, cut it out. I would have spoken the highest words. I will have seen more than you'll ever see, so scratch out my eyes too, while you're at it. bite off my fingers, kill my hearing, cl--' He went silent. Clip my wings... That could have spoiled the plan. Gariel needed to calm himself. Loosing control...he might do something unforgivable if he let this behaviour continue.
Standing straighter, he lowered his tone and glowered at the second-tracker. 'I'm a man, not a boy. Based on maturity, and sense and understanding, i am above you. You are the boy, i am the man' That wasnt Gariel...Everyone is equal, remember?...No! He would not be put on the same level as this scum before him. In no reality was Gariel as bad as that, never. He'd rather die now than be compared to such lowlife. This boy was beyond help, and Gariel didnt care. For once he didnt care. Let the monster self-destruct. It would make him smile.

Storm sat there listening. She was sure she had figured out Gariel's character, but now...The second-tracker was trembling now, his whole body. She could tell he was restraining himself form turning into his plus anima form. Clearly he was more than annoyed by the boy, ready to kill. Gariel was being brave.
There was neither fear or surprise in her when she saw the Cages comign down the hill. Their eyes were dark and empty, their teeth ragged. Compared to the Cages, the second-tracker was not but a lamb in their mist. She shuddered, knowing what would happen next. These Cages were neither human or anima as far as she was concerned.
"Monsters of Death," muttered Storm. The second-tracker obviously heard her, since he whipped around and hit her with his club.

Monsters of death
The edges of Gariels mouth twitched upwards. About time. He hated being kept waiting like this, it didnt do anyone any favours. Standing straight, shoulders up and legs apart slightly, Gariel watched the approaching cages.
How hideous they were; he wondered if they ever remembered being human at all, if they had once been. It wasnt likely. They really did appear to be monsters, and monsters didnt negotiate. He jerked his head, moving some hair out of his eyes.
Chiera didnt seem afraid, but was on edge, he could see. She knew these people, and what they could do. She probably knew what was coming next aswell, and from what he could gather, it wouldnt be a lovely warm welcome with first class food and accomodation. Oh well, this whole thing was adding some interest to his life, but deep down his fear was growing, fast.

The Cages descended on them, their red eyes glazed. The second-trackershivered at the sight of them. It was apparent the Cages had been hunting for food, the smell of their breath, the blood...The leader of the Cages, the biggest, measured up the two.
Storm held her breath. She forgot to mention this part to Gariel, when the leader of the Cages decides if the prisioners should be brought to the Master. If he finds the prisioners, especially those who have disobeyed, to be unworthy of meeting the Master, or if the anima are too weak, they'll be killed. However, if chosen to live, the Cages will then shut you in a cage, throw you in a wagon, and bring you to the Master. Therefore the origin of their name.
With a sniff, the Cage made his decision. "Take them to the cage, toss them in the wagon."
His followers growled in disappointment. One of them grabbed Storm, and with a yank, ripped the chain from the ground as he dragged her away. Storm looked over her shoulder at Gariel.

Take them to the cage, toss them in the wagon
Gariels heart missed a beat. Oh dear...how could he have neglected to notice something like this before. Oh course, with a name like 'Cages' he should have. Stupid. Gariel didnt do so well in enclosed spaces, and cages were amoung the worst kind. He shuddered, but still stood firm. The leader eyed him whilst someone got behind him and gripped his bound arms, taking Gariel away. Gaze darting about, he caught the look on Chiera's face, and couldnt maintain this calm any longer. That was it.
Shifting into +anima, Gariel let loose an ear-splitting high-pitched screech that echoed about the hills, eyes tight shut and mouth open wide. It lasted for what seemed a lifetime, and near deafened anyone nearby. The Cages were startled, now was his chance.
In a rainbow flurry of feathers, Gariel launched off the ground. Flying with arms bound behind his back was difficult, but he just about managed. Yelps of surprise rang up, and he ended one by diving down and tackling the boy who'd tried to take him away. He didnt say anything; no time for victory lines, just concentrate. What now? He saw Chiera over a barrier of people, Cages. They were too close...He tried a verticle take-off, and they lunged, clawing his legs.
Fighting to ascend, he instead tried the opposite, spinning and hurtling down towards his friend. The boy holding her ducked and loosened his grip.
'GO! Waste no time!!' Gariel called to Chiera, stationary in mid-air, alert for any oncoming attacks.

Storm heared Gariel's shouts, but was too shocked to react. He was a plus anima! She managed to worm from the Cage's grasp. The moment she was free, the Cage turned on her and lunged.
Storm waited till the creature was almost on top of her before she moved, doding the attack. Adrenaline rushing, she turned and fled, hoping the Cages weren't so fast.

Gariel saw her get moving, and did the same. Cages seemed to be everywhere at once, and it was hard pinpointing them in the fading light. He rose higher, but everytime he was forced to duck and dive, attempting to cut off any that went to pursue Chiera. This was easier said than done, and on the third swoop he was nicked and spiralled to the ground.
A monster was on him, clawing at his precious wings. Gariel kicked out and screeched again, but the guy was ready, and shook it off like an anoying insect. Panicking, Gariel threw his wings up and thrust them together, shoving him backwards a few paces. They both hurt, and he felt warmth running through the feathers. Even so, he bolted, trying frantically to get airborne.
((XD i really dont know where i'm going with this, lol))

(XP That okay) Storm, while running, saw Gariel struggling. She considered going back to help him, but once she saw him get free from its grasp, continued her sprint. Soon the Cages, yowling with defiance, held back, their eyes balzing with hatred. She didn't take the chance to look over her shoulder.
At last, after an hour of running, she faltered to a halt.

Not good. Flying was painful, but he daren't risk landing just yet. Scanning the ground, he found no Cages in sight, but it was dark, and that didnt mean there werent any down there. Chiera must have got away, right? Gariel hadnt seen her in a while, and she hadnt been back with those monsters when he took off. Well....he didnt care where she had gone, as long as she was safe and relatively unharmed.
After a time, Gariel fell into a descent, gliding in a gradual downward direction. Despite enhanced vision, he couldnt see alot, pinpointing a few houses here and there. Could be another village, or the outskirts, or the middle of no-where. It didnt matter. Eventually he reached the ground and, once landed, bent over, breaving heavily. Perhaps he should call for his friend, incase she may be within earshot. No...too risky; if anyone had followed he could attract unwanted attention. Hmm...Ugh, his wings really stung, and it hurt to fold them. It would probably hurt even more to withdraw his +anima. That was anoying; Gariel would have to keep his wings out for a while.

I landed on the ground, panting. My eyes scanned the land around me. The shape of a human hovered in the distance, with wings though. I grunted, and stood. I couldn't risk yelling over to him, so I'd have to walk.
I rolled my eyes, shaking my feet out before sprinting towards the figure.

((Um...you seem to have randomly switched to 1st-person. are you still playing storm or is this someone else? I dont mind, of course XD, just want to make sure))
Gariel slumped against a rock (this area was just full of them; it made it difficult to spot any human settlements, but easier to hide). Taking slow breaths, he turned to examine the gashes under his feathers, which was really hard when he couldnt move his hands. Ugh...maybe there was a sharp rock edge somewhere, something he could use to cut the bindings. If the wounds needed sewing, Gariel required both hands.
Wandering about the formations, Gariel was too engrossed in his search to notice a figure fast approaching in the distance. Not a good move, and proof that he wasnt feeling himself; such a mistake could lead to unfortunate events.

OOC: sorry Taron, yeah its still the same character.
IC: Storm slowed to a walk and raised her right hand to get Gariel's attention.
"Hey," she gasped, giving a small smile. Her smile melted, however, when she saw him. "You look pretty bad, Gariel."
I frowned, knowing it was my fault this had happened.

Gariel jumped out of his skin when a voice cut through the silence. It was okay, he recognised it as Chiera. Immediately turning to her, he let out a faint chuckle.
'Dont be silly! This is only a minor anoyance' he tried to stand straight, with wings perfectly balanced. 'I might not look the best, but i asure you, its nothing'
Looking her up and down, and satisfied she herself wasnt seriously harmed, he turned around and showed her his bound wrists. 'Dont suppose you could help me out of these?' he asked.
