Anya nodded, understanding. "It makes sense!" she announced, standing up and stretching. Ergh. She didn't like sitting on the ground. It made her butt hurt. Blinking, she turned to Nieke, who was putting away food. "Wells, then, good-byes! I should go, cause I'ma meetin someones!" she explained to the older girl.
"And besides, you're going that way," Anya pointed in the direction Nieke had been walking, "And I'm going this way!" She pointed in the opposite direction. "K?"

Nieke tilted her head slightly to look at the girl. "Meeting someone? Who're you meeting?" She wasn't sure whether that was her business, but she found herself a bit curious. She hadn't expected Anya to say that. Hadn't she been traveling alone? Did she know someone after all?
She stood back up as she finished packing away her food, picking up her bag again as she waited for Anya's answer. She did need to get back... But even if they were going opposite directions, it felt a bit weird just to leave.

"My Onii-chan!" Anya announced gleefully, standing on her tiptoes and raising her hand as if she were still in school. A broad, toothy grin was plastered across her face. "Well, he's not really my Onii-chan, but I like calling him that!" the girl explained a bit more, and then decided to go further, lowering her hand. Her arm was getting sort of tired.
"His name is Age," she began to explain, looking fairly serious, although she was still smiling. "He'sa really nice, and isa expert on peoples like Mr. Magical Otter!" Anya paused for a moment, realizing something. "And, I guesses, peoples like you!" She continued, oblivious to any reaction the older girl might make, positive or negative. "He goes alls over the countrys, looking for cool peoples like you and Mr. Magical Otter," Anya finished, pleased with her explanation.

Nieke's eyes widened. She still wasn't entirely sure what the "Mr. Magical Otter" reference meant, but did she mean that she knew someone who went around looking for +anima? Why would someone do something like that? The idea seemed strange to her - aside from having a few handy abilities, she'd never thought of +anima as anything particularly special. But this person she knew was an "expert" on people like her? Was he a +anima too, or just fascinated by them? Did he have a reason he was looking for +anima?
"Do you mean they're looking for +anima?" She decided to ask aloud, her curiosity getting the better of her. "How come?"

Anya shrugged. "I dunno whys. He just does, and he looks all overs for them. He's got this big notebook filled with stuffs about, I guesses, +Anima." She thought a moment, going back to her conversation with him. Why did he look for +Anima? Had he told her at any one point? She wasn't sure. "Hmm..."
Remembering something, Anya tried to answer Nieke's question the best she could. "Well... He saids he was writing a book about +Animas, though I'm not exactly sure what about." She giggled. "I'll bets he asks me bunches of stuffs bout you! He asked me all about Mr. Magical Otter, so it makeses sense. After all, he wantses to learns all abouts them."

Writing a book about +anima... Nieke thought for a moment, trying to decide how she felt about the idea. Somehow, having a book written about them made it seem like they were some sort of strange creatures, but, then again, it might help people learn more about them, and therefore maybe it would help people feel more comfortable around them - would reading about +anima in a book be that different than the way she'd just explained everything about +anima to Anya? Still...
"Well...how far away is he? I wouldn't mind meeting him myself!" She decided. It would probably make her late to arrive back home, but she was old enough to make her own decisions, right? Her mother would have to deal with it. If it was okay with Anya, she wanted to meet this person herself to see what she thought. Besides, if this person was going to ask questions about her, she wouldn't mind answering them herself.

Anya pointed in the direction Nieke had come from, the opposite way from which the older girl was heading now. "He's the closest town thataway!" she told her, furrowing her brow in trying to remember what Age had said. "Dunno how far away that is, though." It didn't really matter. There was no where else for her to go, as a wanderer, so she was headed on a steady course in that direction.
The six-year-old giggled, remembering something that Age had said. "Onii-chan told me that if I dinna get there in a week, he'd leave without me!" That was... four or five days ago. So, she still had plenty of time, not that she took the older boy seriously. Anya giggled again. "I don think so! Onii-chan would neva leave me behind! Not like Daddy!" The tone of her words didn't change, still being light-hearted and happy.

The next town over... Nieke pondered over the thought. Did she mean Octopus? She wasn't quite sure, but if she did, then that wasn't too far. Either way, maybe taking a little bit of an extra trip wouldn't hurt. It would be something out of her normal routine, anyway.
"Okay, then I'll come with you!" She decided, grinning. Going off on her own accord - it was kind of exciting! She was sure her mother would be angry...she would already be late as it was after stopping to eat, but she decided that it didn't matter. "Err...if you don't mind, of course." She added, hoping Anya wouldn't be bothered by having someone else come see her 'Onii-chan' with her.

Anya grinned, delighted. "Courses you can come! Onii-chan would wanna meet yous, anyway!" She tilted her head to the side, surveying the older girl. "Yous about the same height!" Nieke was older than Age, she could tell, but Nieke was short, like her, and Age was tall. So, they were about the same height. She giggled, amused by the fact that someone could be younger and still the same height as someone older. That'd NEVER happen to her.
The six-year-old bounced her weight from leg to leg. "Come ons, Nieke! Let's go! I wannas yous to meet Onii-chan!"

Nieke grinned, pleased that Anya seemed excited about the prospect of her coming. This seemed like it could be fun! She briefly wondered how old this guy was. Anya had commented that he was about the same height as her, but, then again, even if she didn't like to admit it, she wasn't exactly the tallest for her age, so that didn't mean a whole lot. She decided not to ask any more questions about him, though - she'd find out when they got there.
"Alright!" She beamed, in response to her younger companion's prompt. "Lead the way!" Even if she knew the general direction, she still wasn't entirely sure where exactly Anya was meeting up with him - but at least it seemed like the younger girl knew where she needed to go.

Shifting her pack, Anya led the way, cutting straight along the forest. It was her guide, otherwise, it'd be a lot harder to find her way to Age. She wasn't good with directions, but, then again, she should have to be! She was six, for crying out loud!
(Umm... do you want to skip to them like a few minutes from the town, and then we make a new thread in 'Octopus'? Oh, and sorry for the suckish post.)

(Sure, I'll start a new thread in Octopus for my next post, beginning just a little ways from the town border.)
