Alissa chuckled to herself a bit. "What's wrong with Sailand?" she repeated, looking down at the ground (but ended up looking at her basket instead), her hair covering her eyes. There were so many things she could say that was wrong with Sailand, but how to sum it up. Well, she could always start with slavery.
"In Sailand, they enslave +anima. They sell them. And like how I found out, anyone that tries to free or hide slaves either goes to jail or dies on the way," she said, just one tear running down her cheek. She didn't bother to wipe it up. "And then, people treat +animas like crap. You'd probably be better off being a 'monster' in Asteria than how they treat you in Sailand."
She had witnessed how some slave owners treated their slaves. Wipping. Beatings. Death, sometimes. It was cruel, but when she was...normal, she thought nothing of it. Now, it feels like the whole world, putting knots in her stomach.

The girl looked severely distressed, an emotion Ter had seen an abundance of times during his long time at The Institute. "It's okay," he said whispered and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. "I understand." He replaced his hand in his lap, "you must forgive my.. um.. ignorance." He averted his gaze, "But I think it's better to be a monster than a.. lab rat. I don't know anything about slaves though.."
What was it about the humans that gave them the need to degrade +anima? What had they done?

"It's alright," Alissa said. She looked down at the basket she was holding and then back up at Ter. "Hey, um, you want to come back to the village with me? I mean, we're having a big festival thing tonight," -she smiled- ,"and they have great beer." She laughed. It was rather funny, at least to her. She had beer a few times. It was...okay, but it wasn't like she was going to be addicted to it. Besides, she's only had it once or twice.
"Kidding, kidding," she said. "But they still have some nice foods. You should really come," she said.

Ter was glad for the change in subject. he stood and offered his hand to the Ali. "That would be wonderful! The beer is fantastic!"
Beer was the choice drink for most of the island's inhabitants. Sometimes it was all Ter would drink. The thing about beer was that it made people happy. It brought everyone together, made you feel secure and safe. He had once been to the breweries- the owner was a kind fellow (now a human) who was always ready for a drink... be it 4in the morning or 10 at night. He took great pride in the island's beer and was enthusiastic about festivals. Ter was positive the drink would be perfect for tonight.

"Okay, let's get to Remora, in the Renkatsu forest. It's a really nice place. Common," Alissa said, grabbing the boy's hand want as she led him towards the forest. Hm...a nice meal with some beer actually sounded pretty good right about now.
[[eh...crap post. But um, you want to start the rp in the Remona village in the Renkatsu forest for me please? I've been getting really busy]]
