Sky has a very odd personality. There is only one way to explain it properly. Imagine reading a really good fantasy book. Ok, this book is a cross between a mystery and action. You know, like the books set in the medieval time period and there's about to be a war, but no one knows who the spy is? Ok, imagine a book like that. Now think about that one character in all of those books who is always there but not there. That one guy that sits at the back of the tavern facing the door that no one dares to mess with. The person that makes you feel as if he or she knows all your secrets just by staring you in the eye. The one you're sure knows more than he's telling. That's Sky.
Usually, she's just kind of there. The spotlight doesn't really suit her, but at the same time, she will not go unnoticed. It's kind of hard to miss the only member of a group that never stops glaring. She has this eternal I-hate-everything-about-you look in her eyes that warns anyone with any sense to back off. And, for the stupid people who insist on ignoring her warning, there is a carving knife strapped to her thigh just under her skirt. Her other weapons vary, but she has been known to carry an actual sword several times. If you turned into a wolf, you'd likely hide the idea as well. Her face appears hard and judgmental. Both of these accusations are true for the girl, but that's only one side to her.
Like all people, Sky has more than one side. She's like a 3-D jigsaw puzzle with identical pieces that change colors with the light's reflection; but, the puzzle only goes together one way, and no one knows how. In all honesty, she's very complicated. If one can gain her respect, she'd likely protect said 'one' with her life and not even question it. But...on the other hand, if one gains her respect then tosses it aside, she's liable to just stab afore mentioned 'one' and walk away. It's not exactly sociopathicism, she just learned to hunt and kill prey. The young +Anima is actually a naturally caring and trusting person. Because of this, she has trained herself to hate anyone until they prove themselves worth loving. ...good luck.
with a bit of an oddity:[/i]
She can turn into a full Timber Wolf. Check the history behind this if you disagree.
we shall gain an odyssey:[/i]
The night was cold. The thatched roof was threatening to cave under the torrential downpour. All that could be heard was the steady rush of water dripping into the various pots and buckets of all shapes and sizes around the small one room cottage from leaks in the ceiling. Well, that and the screams. The crackling of the fire wasn't even audible over the screams of a very young woman. She was in natural labor, giving birth to her first child and she was only 16. In no way was her small frame ready for this type of extreme exertion, but she was doing her best to bring a daughter into this world.
An old lady stood over her whispering and chanting as the night grew colder. A man held her hand and kissed her forehead; must've been her husband, or at least, the baby's father. The woman screamed again. All manner of words were issued from her lips. Many statements had the man apologizing as best he could, and others would've made even the oldest of ancestors roll in their graves. The elderly lady whispered a few more words, the rain continued to pound, and the night wore on. It was almost dawn when another sound could be heard. The agonized screaming had terminated. The rain had finally ended, and there was just enough light outside to see by as the cry of a newborn joined the chorus of howling from the mountains, greeting the new day.
But, of course, Sky doesn't remember any of this. In fact, the only memory of her parents is from when she was not yet two. She vaguely has the idea of being lifted and spinned around. In actuality, her father had picked her up and spun her around above his head. The girl doesn't even know if it was a man or a woman who did it, nor does she remember where she might've been. Her next memory is from when she got the mark on her lower back proving she is a +Anima, but that is to be explained later. After living as a wolf for several years, she decided it was time to go and live with humans. She had already witnessed 12 summers come and go and had never actually learned how to talk.
Spending between 9 and 10 years in the wilderness can and will do that to someone. Sky was one of those people. She suddenly appeared on a Kim-un-kur's doorstep. She had no clothing, few memories of human life, and very little understanding of any human language. She was taken in as a guest without question. It was clear she meant no harm. After years as a member of an actual wolf pack, she had learned a great deal as to when it's best to keep one's mouth shut and listen. It was also apparent that the girl had an immense mental capacity. She was able to pick up the language within a year and was speaking as if she'd never forgotten.
During the next two years, she grew accustomed to sleeping in a bed, eating cooked meals, speaking to others on a regular basis, and fighting in a new style. It never felt quite right to the young teen, and often she'd be found out in the forest near the village in her wolf form. Well, none of it except the fighting. As a wolf, she had risen through the ranks rather quickly for wolves age mentally so much faster than humans. At 14, she was told by her 'foster parents' that she didn't belong there and to leave. They gave her nothing as she set out. She was going to go back to being a wolf. It was what felt normal. It took less than a week for her to come upon her previous pack.
With tail and ears low, she begged her old alpha to allow her acceptance. He gave a quick low bark, stood over her with bared teeth and abruptly turned his back and raced off deeper into the territory with his pack on his heels: an obvious rejection. At first, Sky was devastated. She didn't eat or sleep for over a week. She turned back into a human and started walking aimlessly through the forest, not really caring about anything. After day 6 or so of her wandering, she woke up to the sun burning her face. Without thinking, she quickly stood up and found herself sprawled out on the ground less than a second later.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to stand up so quickly after you've been unconscious?" a low voice growled from behind her. Immediately, she turned to see her captor. A quick inventory of her body showed that nothing was broken or tied down, but there was the empty feeling in her stomach that hadn't gone away since day 2 after her rejection. The man she was staring at was definitely not Kim-un-kur. He was wearing a soldier's clothing and had a sword strapped to his hip. Her confusion must've been clear on her face for he introduced himself as simply "Jon". She gave a slight nod of her head in acknowledgment.
Sky doesn't remember much more about that day for she passed out again soon after he gave her a few bites to eat. Over the course of a a few days, she learned that her 'captor' was definitely not a kidnapper or anything like that. He was merely a man that had been passing through and saw a young girl pass out from exhaustion and hunger. He had then picked her up and carried her, none too ceremoniously, back to his camp and waited several hours for her to come around. During those precious hours, he made up his mind to make sure she was ok, after all, she was just a young lady.
Time passed with the two of them wondering aimlessly throughout the realm. Her companion didn't learn of her +Anima until they were deep in the heart of Sailand. The duo was attacked by a pack of wild dogs. Sky, still having the general mind of the wolf, immediately changed. The thoughts of defending herself with weaponry never crossed her consciousness. Her rescuer freaked out, being a native Sailander, himself. He didn't quite realize that +Anima could be 'people'. The sudden realization turned his life upside down. He would've been better off if his toes were on his head. Sky found herself facing a full pack of hungry dogs and a man with a sword.
She doesn't really remember the battle itself. She knows she was fighting, and she's fairly positive two of the dogs went down and didn't get back up. Suddenly, ever thing went black. She woke up the next day as a canine tongue washed over her face. Sky's eyes opened, and she found herself staring into the eyes of the omega of the defeated dog pack. The younger male whimpered as Sky stood up. At her full height, she towered over the dog. He laid down to show the white of his underbelly. Sky was quite used to this behavior and gave a bark before turning a trotting off with the dog close on her heels.
Less than a week later, Sky realized that the dog would be an excellent companion for a small child. She set out to find a nice village and drop him off. Within a week, she accomplished her goal. He is now with a nice, loving family and has never been happier. Ever since, Sky has been wandering aimlessly between the countries. Her favorite place is and will always be the forest in the mountains, an area she knows like the back of her hand. She now comes across as naturally distrusting, but honestly, can you blame her? Look what happened three times in a row? Very rarely has she seen other +Anima, so that may be a bit different for her, but other than that...
but a bit of force:[/i]
Sky carries a hand and a half long sword on her left hip about 80% of the time. Almost without fail, there will be a carving knife strapped to her right calf. She is decent with most other weapons, but generally, those are the only two she carries.
and thou shalt gain respect:[/i]
If people don't fear her to begin with, they will once they see her in combat.
have a little backup:[/i]

and love is possible:[/i]
None currently, but she's bound to fall for a +Anima male slightly older than her...

Spring. Beautiful weather. Flowers blooming everywhere. Partly cloudy sky creating the most perfect temperature. Needless to say, the day was ideal for a nice picnic in the woods. A young Skybelle and her father were taking advantage of the conditions. Dad was carrying a basket that had been thrown together by his wife for just this purpose. The toddler had a hold of his other hand and was chattering away about this squirrel or that tree. Every now and then, he'd look down and smile. Skybelle looked around and pulled her fathers arm. "There, Daddy! There!" She was pointing toward a small clearing.[/blockquote]
Her father immediately set the basket down in the center. Lunch was made of Skybelle's favorite foods. She was a complete brat. As an only child...her parents had completely pampered her. What she wanted, she got. The two sat in the perfect warmth of the sun for several hours. Suddenly, Skybelle jumped up and ran. She had seen a small deer and decided to give chase. Her dad jumped up and called her back several times. She kept running. Even after hours of searching and calling for her, Skybelle didn't answer. Her father had only one choice as that night grew old. He returned home and told his wife what had occurred. A search started immediately.
A few days later, the child's stomach hurt terribly. The search party hadn't found her and her body was giving up. Her small frame was not capable of the stress it was under. She'd never gone 4 hours with nothing to eat or drink, let alone 4 days. Before nightfall, her body gave completely. She couldn't even cry anymore, she was so dehydrated. For all intents and purposes, she was dead. Her heart had stopped beating as the wolf spirit entered her persona. It took over all aspects of Skybelle's life. Mind and body became a wolf. She gained instinct. Her heart started beating again. Her thoughts became simple. Skybelle the pampered toddler became Sky the Timber Wolf.
At first, she looked for her father. The ability to change back and forth between her forms hadn't clicked by the time she came across a member of the search party. The human side of her brain immediately recognized the woman as her mother's best friend. Sky rushed to meet her. The lady immediately panicked and called for help. The young wolf felt a stab of pain and cried out. There was a knife embedded in her side. The pain made her turn tail and run. In the corner of her eye, she could see her parents but both were yelling and several other sharp objects were spinning through the air at her. She kept running. It was sometime later when she came upon a wolf pack. Instinct told her how to act, and she became the pack's newest member.
