Taron was shocked to find Clora had torn her own trousers just to help him wipe the blood off. That was a little extreme, even if you did just want to help. He felt bad for making her ruin her clothes. Still, it had been slightly amusing to watch her hop about like that.
'Thankyou but...you shouldnt have, i'm not hurt' Even so, he used the fabric to clean his face just in time before the innkeeper returned with two bowls. They were told to take a seat, and then his question was answered.
'12 Gillah each, i'll show you to your rooms when you're done, enjoy!' He dissapeared before Taron even got the chance to turn down the food or think about the price. Not that he needed to, it was a decent price, cheap, and the food smelled nice...whatever it was. The man must be getting desperate in this business, to be so keen not to loose Taron and Clora as customers.
'Um...' Not sure where to sit, Taron made his way into a cosy corner and sat crossed-legged on the floor with the bowl infront of him. He wasnt so good with tables, finding them amazingly awkward, and prefered to just curl up somewhere. He smiled at Clora, not too fussed if she decided to sit at the table either closest to or furthest away from him. They still didnt really know each other...

The boy who bled with his eyes had piqued Clora curiosity. She sat near him, resisting the urge to tease him, which she often got with new people. They were both hungry so they at the surprisingly good food for a while without a word. Clora ate at a normal speed today, usually nibbling off a part before chewing it thirty times. She bit the leaf, that was simple! Chewing was another story. Her jaw wanted to go side to side, like a horse; Her brain wanted it to go up and down, like a normal person. Ten minutes battling with herself ended up her leaving half the foods with an excuse of 'Jaw-Ache'.
Clora placed the bowl next to her and pushed the soles of her feet together, making a circle with her legs. "Woah! I ripped off quite a bit!" Clora looked at one trouser leg, then the shorter one. She ripped off some fabric on the other side, making it just about level. Smiling, she put the fabric in her shoulder bag. Taron watched the odd girl. Very odd indeed.
"So what animal are you?" Clora was watching her hands, playing with her fingers. She looked up, with a 'I'm not dumb, anyone can tell you're a +Anima' look in her eye. And a sly little smirk.

'Jaw-ache, huh?' That wasnt surprising, considering the look of deep concentration she'd displayed when eating. To Taron it looked as if she'd been trying to chew concrete, rather than little leaves. How strange.
'Why do you rip your clothes up like that anyway?' Taron lived on the streets, so anything like good clothes he valued very much. In no situation would he willingly rip a good few inches off his own trousers, especially now it was getting colder. He needed all the layers he could afford, which wasnt that much. Not only this, but Taron doubted he'd be able to tear the material with his teeth...that had been a little wierd.
So what animal are you?
Taron blinked, drawing some more blood droplets but ignoring it. Actually...he decided to wipe it quickly incase she decided to attack her clothes for him again. Did he have his +anima out or something? He hadnt mentioned he was one...maybe Clora was just a good guesser...or maybe she didnt have a clue.
'I'm human, i just have an..eye condition' He paused, seeing whether or not she'd accept, but then grinned. Taron was an awful liar anyway. 'Actually, i'm a desert lizard, and as such i'm cold blooded and leak from my eyes...which happens everytime i dont want it to!' He spoke with a bitter tone. Well duh, it wasnt as if he loved his +anima to bits.

"I don't rip up all my clothes! I usually get clothes a few sizes too big so I can rip bits off and use them later. Like when I'm fixing my accordion! I need fabrics for that!" Clora nodded, a matter-o-factly look on her face. When Taron told her what animal he was, her face lit up.
"Desert lizard, huh? Like a Thorny Devil? That's cool!" she paused for a second, "Why did you lie? You don't like you +Anima do you? Even though it saved your life..." Clora sighed, she had met a lot of people who weren't exactly proud of their +Anima's. Never a second had she doubted becoming a +Anima! Well... She is a kimunkle but she doesn't look like one...

'It was a joke...i'm not ashamed of my +anima, but it seems it always brings me more trouble than anything else' There were definitely times where he really did need his powers, and was grateful for them, but those times were always outnumbered by the negative times featuring the anoying side effects.
'You wouldnt like it that much either if you were a lizard. I bet being a horse is tons of fun' Taron used sarcasm in his tone, but he was actually quite serious. He'd love to be able to gallop anywhere in seconds, or maybe fly like birds, or swim like fish. Lizards werent really that special.
'Then again, i wouldnt be me if i werent a 'thorny devil', as you put it. My +anima is just part of who i am, even if it does suck' He leaned back against the wall, pushing his bowl aside. If he ever had the chance, even after all the complaining, Taron doubted he could ever swap and be a different +anima. He was just too used to being a lizard now.
'Is it nice, being a horse?'

Clora thought for a moment, "Yeah! You're stronger and you run fast... But you attract Horse Flies and people think your a centaur." Clora sat in a way that a frog would, balancing on the balls of her feet and her knuckles. "The worst part is I have to pick my hooves and groom myself!" Clora told Taron quite a few things about being a horse +Anima, before saying that she was being selfish and wanted to hear about Taron's Lizard.
"I've seen a lot of lizards! I like Thorny Devils but I trod on one once and hurt my hoof..."

((XD thats alright, i always get mind blanks where i cant write long posts, lol))
Clora had to groom herself....That was an odd mental image. How did she manage to reach everywhere? Then again, he could imagine her rolling about on the floor, hooves and all.
'Funny, i dont see lizards very often...maybe they see me as a threat or enemy..i dont know' They werent exactly the smartest of animals to be blessed with; Taron was stupid to expect a warm welcome from his own kind. 'Hang on a minute, arent you supposed to have no feeling in your hooves?' Hooves were like fingernails, right? Taron didnt really know whether she'd be able to feel pain through them or not. Maybe so, maybe they did have nerves in them...probably.
'There's not alot to tell...' Instead he could just show her, which he did. Checking no-one was watching, Taron shifted into +anima, his horns and tail sprouting and spines growing down his back. He smiled at her.

Clora smiled back, until falling over from her frog-pose. "Also, hooves look hard but they are sensative! There's like a triangle under the hoof called the 'frog'. Rocks often get lodged in the 'frog' so the horse will be in pain until it falls over and dies under it's weight... Unless it gets the rock out it's foot, that is."
Clora picked up her bowl to attempt eating again. "Your +Anima looks cooler, I'm some mytholigical creature... Why do your eyes bleed? I know hippos 'bleed' but it's actually protecting them from the sun... So do lizards bleed?" And so the battle with her jaw began once again. She actually cheered when she finished, "I'm just gonna take these to the inn-keeper!" Clora smiled, picking up the bowls and skipping into the kitchen, even though guests weren't supposed to be in there. She skipped out a few moments later, still smiling.
((I just realised that Clora can be quite the chatterbox xD))

Hippos bleed? and Hooves are sensitive enough that a horse can die from something like that? Taron shrugged. Well there you go, you learn something new everyday.
Clora definitely was strange, but funny. He decided he liked her company; if anything it made him laugh, and he needed that once in a while. On top of that she was generally nice, very helpful, kind-hearted and so far hadnt been put off by his problems. Taron was making notes of these things, because he only rarely came across nice people like Clora.
'My lizard spurts blood from its eyes, in an effort to scare off enemies' Taron had done the research on this. 'Unfortunately in my case i cant spurt, and i cant control it, it just streams down my face whenever it wants...' Well it certainly scared people the majority of the time, so he guessed it was doing its job...but he wished it would do its job when he wanted. Taron stood up, finding it uncomfortable talking like this in the main room. Maybe they could retire to one of the bedrooms and talk. It may be warmer and he hoped the bed would be cosy.
((yeah she is, but shes awesome XD))

Clora nodded, mentally noting down the fact about lizards. She liked animals, they were slightly better than people in her view. "Race to the bedrooms!" she shrieked. Just like a small child, she ran down the corridors giggling. This made Taron feel older, then again, she can hang out with an eight-year-old and make them feel sixteen.
"I win, good game!" Clora smiled and clapped her hands, behind her were two doors "I'm just gonna put my stuff in my room, I'll be in there if you need me!" Clora skipped into what was now her room.

Taron blinked as she zoomed off, but then laughed and followed, unable to keep up. Despite using only her human legs, Clora was unbelievably quick for someone of her build. Then again, just about anyone could outrun Taron.
'Fine' He said, grinning as she took the victory. He watched her dissapear and then located his own room, pushing the door open. It was tiny, but fine for all he needed it for. He didnt have alot of stuff to deposit, only a small pack on his shoulder for all his money (not alot) and other small items. Being a traveller meant he couldnt own all he really wanted, and having a warm bed for the night was a luxury he could only afford so often. Hiding the pack under his bed, Taron walked to the door and peered outside. Clora hadnt come out yet.

Clora looked around. It was a rather nice, then again she didn't stay in inns often. There was only a bed and a small table, but she was only going to sleep in the room. It wasn't long before she had put away most of her things such as her accordion, saddle and her long-swords. She didn't like fighting, though she kept them just in case.
Some rustled under the bed. It sounded like a mouse or a rat. Better not disturb it. Mice never done me any harm. She lay on her stomach and pulled out some old paper and some black ink. Colourless paintings weren't exciting, however even Clora knew better than to spend a lot of money of smalls things like that. Simple patterns, birds, the things that dreams are made of. Nothing too complex, that wasn't her style. Three paintings later, Clora began to wonder where she put her accordion, standing up and leaving her picture on the floor.
The 'mouse' rustled again. Clora smiled to herself when she found her accordion under the bed. The smile quickly changed. It wasn't a mouse that was rustling. It wasn't a rat... Though it was reasonably small and grey. She grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and held it to the flickering light. A pup. A wolf pup. This confused Clora, how could a wolf get into a place like this? She looked around the room for inspiration, only to find some damp on the walls.
She put her forehead on the pup's, "How did you get in here? Did you jump in or somethin'?" The pup stared at her before biting her nose. "Ouch! What was that for? Let's go outside, pup..." Clora opened her door, still holding the wolf by the scruff.

Taron smiled when she appeared, but his eyes then moved down the odd ball of fur she carried, and he frowned.
'Whats.....oh!' It was a puppy. Taron wasnt a very experienced dog expert, but that was like no puppy breed he'd ever seen before. It had big ears and grey-ish fur, and was quite fluffy. If he wasnt so confused as to where it had come from, he would have called it pretty cute.
Clora was holding her nose, which had turned a slightly pink colour, and was holding the pup in what looked like an uncomfortable position for it. 'Uh...' He moved over to her and placed his hands under the pup, supporting it a bit, but as he did so it wriggled about and pawed at the air with little claws visciously. Taron pulled back, alarmed, but Clora had it under control.
'Where did you find him....or her' He didnt fancy getting close enough to find out its gender. Taron wasnt really a dog person.

Clora laughed, "Under my bed. You don't expect to find wolves there..." she rubbed her nose slightly. d**n those needle teeth. The pup wiggled slightly, it's tiny clawed paws swiped the air. Clora sighed, "It's hungry... Here, take the nasty little thing... I don't think it's old enough for solid food yet. I'll ask the innkeeper for some milk." Clora passed the wolf to Taron. It was more like passing a bag, though it was grey and furry. She told him only to hold it by the scruff of it's neck or it'll bite him, also it could get used to humans and never live happily in the wild.
And with that she skipped down the corridors to the main room. The task may of sounded relatively easy, however the innkeeper made it difficult.
"Why do you need milk at this time?"
"I'm... ugh... Thirtsy."
"Why don't I get you some water..."
"I'm sorry! I'm allergic to water. Achoo! See?"
The innkeeper narrowed his eyes, "Fine, here's your milk..."
"Thank you! ...Do wolves live nearby?"
"Some are heard to live at one of the forests to the east--"
"Okay! Thanks for the milk!" Clora held the cup in both hands, staring at the white liquid intently, and began the journey back to the outside of the rooms. It was quite hard, since Clora knew she couldn't trip up. Okay, don't let your mind trail off! Think of milk... Cows... Leather... Clothes... Hats... I wonder where my baret went? It must be in my room somewhere. I'm already losing stuff... Clora sighed, she really hated herself sometimes. At least four trips later, she made it to her destination.

'Wha!?' Taron stepped back as the ball of fluff was pushed onto him. He bent down onto his knees, afraid he might drop the thing, and as he was fighting for a better hold, the little bugger bit his hand. Gritting his teeth in silence, Taron did as Clora had instructed and held the wolf pup (as it apparently was) by the scruff. It stopped snapping and just hung there, its big innocent eyes looking up at Taron. He softened slightly, but only slightly; his hand was throbbing still.
He was extremely glad when Clora returned, though she had taken longer than he'd expected. The pup had been good for a while, he almost didnt want to try and pass it to her incase it lashed out again. Maybe he should keep it still while Clora attempted to feed it.
'What now?'
