"Ha, right. I could have probably gotten you some medicne for your brother but...well, the black market isn't always legal, now is it?" Yumio said with a smile, as if it were a personal joke of his own. He sighed as he went over what they were going to be doing in his head. Nothing speical today and, unlike Xelha, he found no joy in playing with his +anima. Maybe he could get Kinian to teach him something. Kinian was the strongest in his crew and Yumio was the weakest, but when it came time for selling items, Yumio had a heads up in that.
"There's nothing going on today" he sighed leaning back in his chair, his hands behind his head.

Swallowing the current bite of her almost demolished apple, Xelha looked quizically at Yumio. "Nothing? Come on, there's gotta be something." She paused for a moment, then continued. "Can't you even help with the on-deck stuff, or the steering?" She took another bite of the apple. Wasn't this his ship, after all?

"Oh, yeah, well there is that, but, I mean, there is nothing new going on, which is one of the problems with traveling at sea," Yumio said. "And I can't really help out with some stuff because of my...sea sickness" he said, trying to put it the best way for a breakfast conversation.
A passing though quickly hit him. Should I tell her? he asked himself and he looked Xelha's way. Well, I guess she should know since she is riding with us... he decided leaning forward now, in a more informational kind of way.
"Xelha...I'm going to need to inform you on a small detail if you're going to continue riding with us..." he began. "But it's not that importent. Do you want to know it?"

Xelha blinked, surprised. "Of course! If I should know it, just tell me. No matter how small." With that, she finished her apple, eating even the core. She was itching to go back up and get some more to eat, but first, Yumio had to tell her whatever he had to tell her. She settled herself down and waited.

"The course we take to get to Asteria unnoticed by other ships, and faster than other ships is that, well, the trip is rather dangerous. Storms tend to hang around the path along with heavy winds, which allow the ship to sail faster. It's dangerous, but we have only lost one so far" Yumio explained, letting out a sigh at the end. He was relieved to have finally said it, though he would have prefered it if Memi or Kinian explained it.
"Which also means you cant go flying around again, alright?" he asked, but his tone was a more informative and directing kind of voice. He reached for one more apple and took a bite of it. Might as well fill up. Just because he didn't have anything else to do, he might as well fill up. They tended to "acidetenly" skip lunch because of all the jobs needing to be one on the boat.

Xelha sighed slightly, though she understood. "I could still fly in that weather, you know. From all the flying I tend to do, my wings get strong." She smiled slightly. "But, you're the captain. From now on, no flying." She sighed again. "Now what am I going to do to occupy my time?" she muttered under her breath.
Standing up, Xelha went back up to where the food was, dropping off her plate, and grabbing a few more apples, along with a glass of milk. Sitting back down next to Yumio once more, and beginning on her apple, she grinned at him. "So, anything else I should know? Or is that it?" she asked, munching cheerfully (not while she's talking, of course).

"Hm...let's see..." Yumio said softly after swallowing down another bite of the apple. "We take turns watching after the ship to make sure no storms come, or anything of that sort. To nights my turn. You're welcome to join me if you want," he offered. Just a bit of company while watching the boat might be easier...on him.
"Or you can sleep downstairs" he said. "I don't mind" he said as he took another bite of the apple.

Xelha swallowed the last bit of her first apple, including the core. "Eh, I'll join you. I can always sleep today, or tomorrow. It's not big." She ate another bite of her apple, chewing an swallowing quickly, before continuing. "Today, though, is there anything else I can help with?" She smiled slightly, remembering his answer from yesterday. "Besides cooking?"
After eating another bite of her apple, Xelha took a sip from her milk, before continuing on her piece of fruit, waiting for Yumio's answer.

"No...not really" Yumio sighed, leaning back in his chair once more. "That's the problem with traveling by boat: There's nothing to do" he said, repeating what he said before.

Xelha sighed abruptly. "If I'd have known it was this boring, I'd have flown all the way to Asteria." She finished eating her last apple, before drinking all of her milk. "I hate sitting idly, twiddling my thumbs. I'm not that kind of person."

"And no one said that you were" Yumio said as he got up from the seat. "And we are neither. It's just the best way to transport our goods so that we can make a living. I could swim from Sailand to Asteria if I wanted, but trust me, you don't want to. We're taking the short way and it's going to take us a week. If you decided to fly, the fastest you'd get there by would be three days without stopping and going as fast as you could, not to mention the storms and when you're flying you don't have a sense of direction in wide opens seas" he said, then realizing how much he had spoken, and what he had spoken. Darn, he got too carried away sometimes.
"Well, I'm going to the deck, what about you?" he asked Xelha when he had reached the door way.

Xelha raised an eyebrow slightly at the older boy's words. Swim? Fly into storms? He hadn't thought she was serious, had he? That was an amusing thought. She had been kidding, yet he took it literally. Interesting. Filing away that information away in her mind, she stood up, stretching slightly. "I'll come with you," she told him.
Following Yumio up on deck, she let out a sigh of relief as she took in the fresh sea air. "It's so nice out here," Xelha told him, smiling.

"Won't last for long" Yumio said subconsciencly. Realizing what he had said, he added, "Sorry, I think I'm zoning out." It was true. He was known to zone out, giving him that down-to-earth feeling every so often. But he didn't zone out randomly. Just when he got bored. Which was a plus. If you zoned when you're bored, time flys faster. Speaking of flying...
"You were kidding about that flying thing, wern't you?" he asked the girl.

Xelha smiled slightly at his words. Zoning out, was he? That's what Kalas did at home. At least, when he felt safe, he did. Not otherwise, though.
She blinked in surprise at his next words. Took him awhile, didn't it? "I was wondering when you would figure it out," Xelha told him, smile returning. "It certainly took you long enough." She shook her head. "Honestly, you're almost as bad as my brother with jokes. That would've taken him at least a half hour, if he remembered it."

Yumio chuckled to himself softly. At least he was better than her little brother. Wait, what? He was an adult and he was only slightly better with jokes than her little brother? Man, he needed some work on that. Then again, when you work in an area where trust is everything, you rarely suspect lies, unless from a new client or if the person is acting strange.
"Sorry, I'm not that used to jokes" he informed her.
[[Um...personally, I think we should skip the week and have them nearing the harbor or what not. Theres not much to post for a week worth of nothing]]
