It was slightly funny that Shark's +anima was, well, a shark. It would be even funnier if Mouse's +anima was a mouse. Then they'd be a pair! But, those wern't their real names, or rather their birth names. She thought about her own name. She couldn't think of her with another name. She enjoyed the name Izumi. It sounded cute.
"Um..." she said, thinking if she had anymore questions. It was always funny. You could never think of questions when you were asked if you had anymore questions. "No...not really. Oh wait! Yeah! I have one: how are you planning to get through the mountains? Wouldn't it be easier to take a boat?" she asked him, slightly confused.

Age shook his head. "Nope. Boats are expensive, and I don't have that kind of money." He uncrossed his arms. "Besides, the way through is dangerous, and right now we're at war with Sailand, right? So it's not too smart to make your way over that publicly." A thought occurred to him, making him smile slightly.
"Now you're with me, too, so I doubly can't take a boat. They might discover that you're a +Anima, and then make you a slave. Then, I'd have to go rescue you." Age grinned. "No, mountain may be a tad slower, but it's safer."

"Hm, okay" Izumi said with a nod of her head, taking what Age said into context. It would be rather scarier to take a boat in these...situtations. She got what he ment. A slower, but safer way sounded much better. And she didn't like the idea of being a slave. Not one bit. And then making Age come save her...she didn't want Age to do something that side-tracked from the main mission. Espically if the mission was about freeing slaves. Then again, if she was captured and a slave, she'd be freed, wouldn't she. Oh well, her mind was made up.
"Um, Age?" she asked. "If I do get captured, or what not, um, don't come after me. I can find a way out. Okay?" she asked.

Why had he known she would say something like that? Age held up a finger. "Nope. I'm coming after you, Butterfly. Don't even try to tell me not to." Even though it could get in the way of the mission, he wasn't planning on leaving Izumi behind, no matter what.
"Besides," Age grinned at her, "I'm not leaving you behind. No way in a million!" That was a phrase he had picked up from someone he had met awhile back. "We're in this together, now, and NO ONE gets left behind. Got it?"

Izumi crossed her arms. "So you expect me to cross my arms and sit still?" she asked Age rather sternfully. This side of Izumi was rarely seen, but this situation called for it. "Age, I want to come and help, not be a nucianse. If I ever get caught, I will find a way out. I will come back and find you." No way did she want to be the damsel in distress. She finally got that +anima hunter guy off her trail, she wanted to be more trusted. More indepented.
"You won't be leaving me behind" -she smiled- "because I will be behind you as soon as I can." Unfortunatly, her frown returned. "But those enslaved +anima need you help. You've already helped me once," she said, remembering when she had first met Age. How he had helped her. She smiled sadly. "Please?"

Age sighed in exasperation. Girls could be stubborn. Especially when they were little. "I KNOW you can get away by yourself." Actually, he wasn't sure, but had to trust her on it. She would tell him the truth, right? "Eventually, you'd be able to escape, and I trust you on that one."
He paused, before continuing. "However... You really think I can just leave you behind? I'm not one to think about the consequences, I'm too rash. Promise to leave you behind, or not, I'd still come after you. Really, could you leave someone on YOUR side, someone you knew, willingly? I'm not that kind of person. I can't." Age grinned. "'Sides, Mouse and Shark would NEVER let me live it down." he told her, in an attempt to throw some humor into the conversation.

Izumi sighed. She wasn't going to get what she wanted, now was she? Oh well, it was better than not being in it at all. She smiled at Age's attempt of humor, thinking about what the two would actually do if he did. Even though she didn't know the two, it was fun thinking of what two strong people could do.
"Um..." she said, trying to fill the gap of silence, thinking of what to say now that their argument was over. Her stomach growled and she blushed. She reached for her bag and pulled out some dried fruit and meat and began to snack on it. Swallowing a piece of dried apple, she asked, "What's it like in Sailand?"

Age grinned as her stomach rumbled, amused. He wasn't hungry himself. Adding another twig to the fire, Age thought for a moment, before answering Izumi's question. "Well, I've never been there myself. I met Shark and Mouse while I was here in Asteria. Their gang has people in both countries," he explained.
"But..." Age did know a bit about Sailand. "It's going to be warmer, thank goodness, like late summer early fallish. That's all I really know, though."

"Yeah," Izumi admitted. She had spent many winters here in Asteria and they could get really cold. That's if, if went to some of the coldest places in the region. Like the hot springs. That place was always warm. But there were places where you could probably freeze to death! She almost had once, too!
Besides, the warm air in Sailand might not be good for her. She had spen a few too many winters here, so she was used to them. Would the different temptures in Sailand mess her up? She didn't know. She'd never been there before.
