Laying on cruchy grass, Izumi- a pettie butterfly +anima- slept. She layed just a few meters from a cliff. She didn't know why. It sounded dangerous to humans to do such a thing, but, well, she wasn't human and was hunted because of that fact. Maybe she had chosen to sleep here because of the fact that, if needed, she could just fly down. Unfortunatly, because of her weight now, her flimsy wings can only slow down the process of falling. When she was younger, it was easier to fly off when ever she needed. Now, that option was gone and soon, she didn't know when, her entire +anima might be gone when she grew up even more.
She stirred slightly on the ground as she woke. She looked around. The ground was sprinkled with snow all around her and, well, it looked pretty. She just sat there for a while as she looked at the whiteness that was frosting the grounds. The coldness could have gotten to her, but her love of long, and black, dresses kept her warm.

His boot-clad feet crunched in the snow. Age stopped walking, the wind blowing his ever-long brown hair away from his face. He had finally decided to go over into Sailand. Before, he had never done it, giving himself all sorts of excuses. Now that life had hardened him a bit, and he was twenty years old, he believed he could do it. Once in Sailand, he wanted to free some captured +Anima. Slavery was absoulutely barbaric.
Out of the corner of his eye, something, besides the falling snow, moved. A figure sat up, near the edge of the cliff. His eyes widened slightly. They were too close! What if they fell? Despite his age and the hardness of life, which had happened to him, Age was still always thinking over others, though he looked menacing enough himself. Tall, broad, with a sword at his waist and his bow over his shoulder, he was a frightening looking man. Totally opposite his true nature.
Age ground his teeth slightly. He couldn't yell, otherwise he might trigger an avalanche. So, he began quickly striding towards the figure. His boots kept sinking into the snow under his weight, so the man was thankful that they were true boots made for walking in the snow.

Izumi sat there, a smile on her face as she watched the snow fall around her. Finally, something snapped her out of her snow-adoring trance. The sound of snow. No, snow didn't make sounds. It was the sound of snow crunching. Snow? Crunching? Did that just mean someone was here? Why here? She had inspected this area. There were no Kim-ur-kur for miles and this wasn't the ideal place to go hiking in.
She stood up. What...Who ever it was might be an enemy, or a bystanderd. She knew it couldn't be a friend. She was quiet and reserved, and she knew it, and she didn't have many friends. She had barely made friends in the past years, except with a few people she had worked for.
She leaned down and picked up her bow and slung a container over her shoulder, which held her arrows. Though she didn't plan to attack who ever it was right now, she might as well have her weapon with her.

The figure made some movements, and now, getting closer, Age could make out a bit more of who it was. A young girl, 12 or 13. Out here alone, in the snow? Then again, he really couldn't talk. When he was her age, he was out exploring the world, looking for +Anima. Yeah, he couldn't talk at all.
She had long blue hair. Strange... And slightly familiar. And she had a bow. He smiled slightly, still striding forward. He was just imagining things. After all, he didn't remember meeting a blue-haired girl like her anywhere. But... He had met so many people in his short lifetime, that he probably wouldn't remember her.
He didn't stop as he rapidly approached the girl. Grabbing her by the wrist, he ignored any struggles she might make and pulled her away from the edge. Once he judged they were a saf distance away, having pulled her about three feet, he turned on her, frowning angrily. "What were you thinking, girl, being that close to the edge? You could have fallen off!" he reprimanded her, brushing a stray bit of his long brown hair out of his face as he did so.

Izumi struggled as the male pulled her. What did he want with her? Was her apart of the military? Or a lost slave trader from Sailand that decided he needed to restock his wares?! No, no ,no. She wouldn't be pulled and so she struggled harder, but it didn't seem to make a difference. The male had managed to drag her some way, but then let her go. She looked at her write, now free from the man's hand. He just let her go? She looked behind herself.
Oh! she thought. He must be human! she conculded. It would be dangerous for a girl to be standing there. She looked up at the male. Something seemed fammilar about the male. He also sure seemed alot older than her. Then, it struck her.
"AGE~" she chimed as she hugged tackled him to the ground.

Age was startled as the girl suddenly tackled him to the ground, chiming his now. How...? Standing up, and pulling up the girl to her feet, as well, Age frowned. "Kid, how do you know my name? You seem familiar, but... I can't place you." Blue hair, bow. Blue hair, bow. She seemed familiar. He held up his hand in a stop gesture. "Wait, don't answer that."
"You seem familiar. But... the only girl I've ever met with blue hair is..." His eyes widened, making the connection. "Izumi?" Dang, that girl had grown! Six! That was how old she'd been when he last saw her! Six! And here she was, 12! He had been 14 when he saw her last, and that was six years ago, so yeah. She'd be twelve.
He ruffled her hair. "Well, you've certainly grown. I can still carry you, though, Butterfly." Age teased her slightly, remembering her +Anima. He probably looked different, too. Older, more menacing looking, yeah. Izumi, though she seemed strong, had grown for the better. He, however, had grown hard.

Izumi giggled a bit when he said her name. He did remember her! Wow...She couldn't actually believe that she met up with him after the Kilter thing, six whole years ago. Wow... Then, him mentioning that he could carry her made her smile.
"I've gotten stronger too!" she said with a happy face. Then, she just stoped talking and her expression became neutral. "Wait...why are you up here?"

Age nodded toward the direction of Sailand. "I'm heading over to Sailand. Gonna help with an uprising, free a few +Anima... You know, things like that." He sighed slightly. "Slavery is so barbaric." Why did people have to enslave +Animas just because they had special powers? Made no sense to him...
A thought occurred to him. "Well, what're you doing up here, Izumi?" He asked, a slight frown coming over his face. "I hope you're not heading in Sailand. That'd be too dangerous!"

"No...I'm not heading to Sailand" Izumi said. Actually, she didn't know why she was up here? Think Izumi, think! she told herself. She sighed, giving up on trying to remember why she was up here in the first place. "And I don't remember why I'm up here" she said, a blank, but hilarious, look plastered on her face.
She smiled again, though. "I can help you, if you want, with the whole Sailand thing! I've gotten stronger!" she said.

Age shook his head. "I don't want you to get hurt, or get in trouble! That'd be awful!" He grinned, for the first time in awhile. He still smiled exactly like he did when he was fourteen. "And you may have gotten stronger, Izumi, but you're still a kid. And I shouldn't take a child with me on a dangerous mission.."
Realizing something, his smile grew somewhat sheepish. "Then again, I'm not one to talk. Who knows how much danger I got into when I was still a kid..." Age shrugged, unable to come up with a good argument why not. "If you want to, you can. You might get caught in some fighting, though. Are you still ready?"

"Yeah!" Izumi said, excited. "I told you I got stronger! I mean, like, really strong!" she said rather proud of herself. As she grew up, she was forced to rely less and less on her +anima and made to rely on her own strength. So, now, she could probably fight off someone her age, and maybe a young or not-so-strong soldier, but the idea of it sounded amazing! Fighting to free +animas! What a beautiful mission!
[[Crap post...*sigh*]]

Age smiled. "Stronger, huh? Well, maybe you'll get a chance to show me. I'm sure there will be plenty of oppertunities in Sailand. I doubt they want us freeing their slaves." She was still a kid. She had hardened, as he was able to tell by the way she had struggled earlier, but not quite as hard as he had been. Then again, he grew up completely on the streets, while she got to live with her parents for a bit. So, it made sense.
Noticing something, Age's smile returned, as it slightly faded away while he was thinking. "You still have the same bow I bought you, all those years ago! It's not too small for you?"

"Oh! Well, it sort of is..." Izumi said, looking down at her bow. "But I hadn't been to any places that sold bows, except once but that was when I was seven and the bow still fit me. And the fact that it's small made it harder for me in the past to use it, so I just used it as something to say 'I've got a weapon, get away' , you know?"
"So did you met any other +anima in the past?" she asked Age. It's been six years and, she noticed, the population of +anima has grown and it wasn't all that uncommon to see on. She had seen a few in the past, too.

Well, he'd have to buy her another as soon as he got a chance. She needed a bow she could use, not just one that was threatening. They should be able to get their hands on one easy, once in Sailand. It was good, though. He had plenty of pocket money from working for the gang, and from his book. A bow, and a new set of arrows, wouldn't be so much.
At her question, Age nodded. "Quite a few. Actually, I toured the country, looking for +Anima. And I wrote a book on the +Anima I met, and their histories. You're in it, Izumi!" He smiled at her. "You're one of the first entries!"

Izumi smiled. She didn't know why. She didn't like being talked about and being shy made it easy, or the fact she was shy made it that she didn't like being talked about. Anyways, she was glad Age remembered her to write her in one of his entries.
"Cool" she said solely. "What other types of +anima have you met?" she asked.
