"Its okay, she was just teasing. I kinda needed it though. Sotrmcrest doesn't like it when I call her Chiera 'cause it reminds her of her family," pronounced Ryker as Stormcrest stepped away.
"Thank you for that bit of information," muttered Stormcrest.
Ryker mocked a pretend bow in her direction, and Stormcrest immediatley shoved him into the snow.
"Huh," said Stormcrest with mild curiousity. "I thought cats were supposed to land on their feet."
Ryker got up. "You always get me for that one. But everyone knows cats are much more likeable then dogs." Stormcrest moved past Ryker then hit him in the bend of his knee so that he fell face forward.
"But the dog always wins in the fight." Ryker rolled in snow, which was coming down harder and began to make a snow angel.
Stormcrest snorted. "You look like you're two."
Ryker reached up and grabbed Stormcrest, shoving her into the snow. "You gotta relax, Stormcrest," he laughed. "Bet you never even saw snow before."
Stormcrest rolled her eyes, an increasing habit, especially when Ryker was around. Feeling selfconcious, but wanting to prove Ryker wrong, she copied Ryker and movved her arms and legs in the snow. She pulled herself up from the ground.
"Oh," commented Ryker as he stood up next to her. "Angels with ears."

Mouse and Shark traded looks as the two bantered. And Mouse had thought they were strange... She watched, curious, as they made snow angels. She had never seen the point of them, having wings, as she could just outstretch them, lay in the snow, and poof! snow angel. At Ryker's comment, she laughed, having fun watching the two.
Shark hit her on top of the head, cutting off her laughter, and then let his gaze rove over to the two snow-covered kids. "I know you're having fun, children, but shouldn't we be moving on?" His gaze moved down to Mouse, who was shivering slightly, and then back to the younger two. "We've stood here long enough while you've fought and played. We should keep going." With that, and pulling Mouse along with him, he began, once more, down the road.

Ryker nodded stifly. "Sorry...again."
Stormcrest shrugged brushing the snow off of her. Shark seemed really tense. Was it because of her? Well, she could see why he wouldn't trust her. She took her place behind the group.
After a long period of silence, Stormcrest began to get chills. Snow she was okay with, being cold, no. She liked it when it was warmer. On the other hand, Ryker loved the cold. It was like they were completley different. He was a wild cat, she was a wild dog. She couldn't help but laugh at the irony, making Ryker cast a questioning glance back at her.
When he finally turned back, she felt her upperlip twist with amusement. Mouse and Shark, Ryker included, must think she was insane. On that thought, she transformed back into her human form just as Maggie Vil rose in the distance.

As Maggie Vil appeared, Mouse let out a squeal of glee, showing one of the reasons she had that name. "We're almost there!" she announced excitedly, clapping her hands like a child. Speeding up, she led the way, smile spread across her face as they passed into the town.
Shark frowned as they passed into it, glancing quickly back at Ryker and Stormcrest. It didn't matter, now. It was time to meet up with Snake.
