Gariel froze when Yuuta started his taunting. What was the guy doing?? He was flirting with death, and that was not a very mature thing to do, even if the sword was having no effect. Interesting...but he didnt have time to stare in wonder.
Gariel made a move when Yuuta was tied up, but the guards stopped him. One said 'We'll be taking you too' and lunged at him. Gariel made a strangled screeching sound, appalled at the whole situation. How DARE they take Yuuta, a young boy, like that? How could that guard possible plunge his sword into the boys back with no hesitation!? Gariel spread his wings and made a verticle take off. He hated leaving Yuuta, but part of him was also thinking it was the boy's own fault, for messing with the guards like that. He gave his friend a nodd, and, with regret, flew off into the distance. Some arrows were fired, and one dug itself deep into Gariel's right wing, but he kept going, making a note of the direction in which Yuuta was being carted off to.

Yuuta saw Gariel fly away, just like he had anticipated. After a long, uncomfortable, ride the regime of gaurds arrived at a small encampment. As soon as the horses stopped a few gaurds came to take Yuuta into a cell, one of them had a bandage over part of his neck, which made Yuuta smirk a little. "In ya go." one of the gaurds said before tossing him into a cage. Yuuta sat there patiently until most of the gaurds were asleep except for the ones keeping watch over his cage. About every hour those gaurds left their shift and went to wake up the next ones. These small timeframes were when Yuuta planned to make his escape. The next times the gaurds left he shifted into his +anima and bit easily through the bars. unfortunately, this made quite the commotion so Yuuta had to leave, fast.
As Yuuta was escaping over a hill he heard the alarmed gaurds screaming, finally realising what had transpired. Unfortunately as soon as this happened Yuuta heard the whistling of an arrow through air and before he could react it hit him right in the shoulderblade. He cringed and bent over, momentarily weakend by the hit but he continued on as fast as he could. Again he could here the distinct whistling and again he was hit, but this time in the leg. Yuuta glanced around only to see more gaurds coming over the hilltop. "Looks like I won't be able to meet up with Gariel after all." he muttered to himself

Gariel sat and waited on the highest rock, the same place he'd been that same morning. It was dark now, which made it very difficult to tend to his wound, but just about manageable. He'd first yanked out the arrow (painful), and had pulled a needle and thread from his pocket. This wasnt really the main reason he carried a mini sewing kit around, but it would do the job, all the same.
He silently set about stitching up the hole. It was only small, and probably didnt need stitching, but Gariel regarded his wings as very valuable to him, a gift from god, afterall, and he always looked after them. The last thing he wanted was for it to become infected. It hurt, and was a slow process, but finally, it was done. He bit the thread, and carefully examined his handywork. It would do.
But where was Yuuta? He was certain this was the correct spot. As a bird, he had an uncanny sense of place and direction, and never made mistakes. Gariel thought Yuuta was too confident for his own good...maybe something had gone wrong. He resolved to wait just a little longer...

"Thought you could get away from me." the gaurd leader said "Well now you've just made it a whole lot worse for yourself." he smirked, looking down at yuuta on the ground and kicking him in the chest. "Now your just gonna have to pay the price." The leader dragged him back onto his horse and brought him back to the camp. "I wonder what would happen if we cut that tattoo of yours out of your skin." he said before slowly drawing a knife "but if we did that, then we couldn't sell you as a slave now would we." The leader crouched down and put the knife to Yuuta's throat. "No, were just gonna sell you to the strictest person we can think of and leave you their to rot." Now the gaurd stood up and went to one of his men "Tell Feras (randomly came up with it, if someone already has that name, tell me) that we've got another one for him." The leader muttered before leavng the tent. 'Great now I'm gonna be working for the rest of my life' Yuuta thought to himself 'At least Gariel got away safely'

Gariel nodded off, and then jerked awake, for about the seventh time that evening. This was getting mildly anoying now...just waiting. Yuuta wasnt coming, simple as that. What wasnt so simple was trying to find him....he could have been taken anywhere in the last few hours. Still...if Gariels wing was alright, it wouldnt be so hard to catch up with a wagon.
He shook himself properly awake, and got up, stretching. The sky was dark now, and Gariel wasnt the best bird for seeing in the dark, but he could try. Moving his right wing stung, but after a few simple strokes he managed to lift off the rock, and started a slow glide in the direction he'd noted before. Yuuta had probably underestimated his capturers, and gotten into an even bigger mess. Silly child, Gariel thought. In fact, he wasnt quite sure why he was bothering going to help, but of course, Yuuta wouldnt be rescued by anyone else now, would he? Besides, Gariel loved nothing more than helping those who needed help.
Smiling as the thrill of flight washed over him, Gariel dived and swooped, hoping to catch some glimpse of a clue as to where he should be headed.

Yuuta was strapped to a post in the middle of a tent. Then a man dressed in expensive looking clothes walked in, followed by a few gaurds. This man's name was Feras, a cruel man who exploited his +anima slaves for all they were worth. Feras crouched down and lifted Yuuta's head up, staring him in the eye. Feras then stood up and looked him over, determining if Yuuta was worth his time. After a few minutes of this he walked up to one of the gaurds. "What kind of +anima does he have." Feras whispered in a raspy voice. "Crocodile, sir." the gaurd responded. "Well bring him to the wagon, I'll give you your payment as soon as everything is worked out." Feras then stepped out of the tent
The leader signaled for his men to grab Yuuta and drag him into Feras's wagon. Untying him, yuuta thought about trying to make a run for it, but that probably wasn't going to work for a second time. As he was put in shackles and thrown into the back of a rather uncomfortable wagon, Yuuta stared up at the sky for any sign of Gariel. Yuuta couldn't blame him if he didn't show up, after all Yuuta was in a very bad situation and Gariel would be risking his life rescuing him. No, if Yuuta was dragged off to some horrible working place he had only himself to blame for that

Gariel was tired...and flying was hard work. After a while he almost fell asleep whilst in the air. Luckily he was high up enough that it was easy to recover from a slight fall. This was no good. He considered stopping to rest, afterall he was of no use when this sleepy. But then...Yuuta might be long gone tomorrow...he couldnt leave his friend like that.
Diving lower, Gariel scanned the ground, until.....He finally caught sight of something. Looked to be a small settlement of some sort...and by the looks of it, with all the horses tied up, and the expensive looking equipment, it was a guard camp. A good place to start, Gariel guessed. He could see various wagons, one was leaving. Yuuta could be on that...or not. Biting his lip in thought, Gariel decided to land nearby, in the shadows. No-one had seen him (he hoped) and he hoped even more than no-one would recognise him if they did, in the dark. Taking a deep breath, he advanced forward, shifting out of +anima.

As the wagon rode along yuuta was buffeted around inside, having nothing keeping him in one place.there was a small flap of cloth that was used up front by Feras to check up on the 'cargo' every now and again. After a while Yuuta felt the cart slow down and eventually come to a stop. "You there! What is your business among these rodes out so late!" Yuuta heard Feras shout out. Who could this be? Yuuta inched his way up to the flap and peeked out, seeing Gariel standing there. Amazed Yuuta quickly dropped down and thought to himself. 'Wow, I didn't think he'd actually come.' This was indeed a suprise but what could he possibly do to get Yuuta out of here? Yuuta just decided to wait and find out, after all he couldn't do much in these heavy shackles

Gariel turned to face the stranger, his green eyes almost glowing in the dark. The stranger called out, but Gariel remained quiet for a while, just staring. The man looked to be quite wealthy, and not very nice...there was a high chance slaves were hidden in that wagon. Whether Yuuta was amoung them, he'd have to find out for himself.
Flashing the man a dazzling smile that silenced him, Gariel stepped forward, so he could be seen properly. The man stared at him. 'Y-young woman?' Gariel let out a faint laugh.
'No. i'm definitely male' It wasnt the first time people had said that; he was used to it, and could maybe use it to his advantage in this situation. 'I'm lost. Kind sir, where might you be headed so late? I do not know in which direction i myself should go' Gariel was good at speaking the language of his enemies, and used a very calm, charming voice, aiming to lure this man in.
The guy still stared. plus anima or no plus anima, this boy was pretty! Very much so! and would probably fetch a high price as an assistant to the nobles. Maybe he could slap on some fake animal parts. Would he make a lovely bird? Fish? perhaps a tiger, with sleekness to match his looks, and orange to match his hair. Whatever choice, this kid was big bucks! Giving Gariel a forced smile, the man nodded.
'We're headed for the capital, Stella. If you would like, we can make room for another passenger on the trip?'
Gariel nodded, and gave his thanks. Yuuta would have to wait a little longer. Getting out of this muddle wouldnt be a simple task.

Yuuta was sitting there, listening to there conversation. What could Gariel possibly do to get out of this one? He just had to be patient and wait for Gariels plan to unfold...
"Come, sit." Feras said, making room for Gariel to sit down in the front. "It may be awhile in this rickety old wagon, but we'll get there eventually." Once Gariel had sat down the wagon started moving again, the gaurd prompting the horses.

Gariel nodded to the man politely. 'Of course, i understand. I'm in no hurry' And neither should Yuuta be, when all that awaited him in Stella was a life of slavery. The man had softened up alot in a short space of time; Gariel doubted though that he was always this nice to strangers.
Gariel sat quietly for a while, just thinking things through in his head. Then turned to the man. 'So to whom do i owe this favour?'
The man smiled slightly. 'I'm Feras, well-respected in this area. Perhaps you have heard of me?' he said, looking proud. Gariel shook his head. 'No, sir Feras, i'm not from around here (big lie) but after this night i'll speak of you and your kindness to any i can' At first the man, Feras, didnt sound too thrilled; he probaby didnt want to be known as being kind, that made him sound a pushover, but still, a compiment was a compliment. He nodded his approval.
'So..' Gariel said after a short pause, 'I must ask, what is it, in this wagon, that has forced you travelling tonight?' He didnt reckon Feras would tell him the truth, but it was worth a shot.

"Erm... we were actually going to the capital to buy wears and sell them throughout the country." Feras lied. "That's how I've gotten all of my money so far." This was going to be a long trip and Feras was already getting uncomfortable with the new company. "Maby we should set up camp soon, It's getting dark ,sir." The Gaurd said to Feras looking over. "Ah yes, lets." Feras said eagerly.
The wagon continued on for a little bit before parking behind some rocks, where the gaurd got off and retrieved some materials for making tents from the back of the wagon. As the gaurd was setting up the tent and Feras was standing nearby, helping when he felt like it, Yuuta slammed into the side of the wagon from the inside, hoping to get Gariels attention. Feras quickly turned around and walked quickly to the back of the wagon, trying to throw a burlab sack over Yuuta so Gariel wouldn't notice him.

Gariel felt a bit relieved when it was decided that they would stop to rest. The steady rocking of the wagon on the uneven ground was beginning to lull him back to sleep, and sleeping with the enemy was never a good idea. Atleast it would be easier to stay awake on the ground, he thought. As much as he desperately needed it, sleep was probably not going to be an option for a while...he didnt trust this Feras.
Sitting down cross-legged, Gariel was wondering whether he should go and help out the guard, when a loud bump snapped him properly awake. He went to turn his head, but then decided against it, and stayed staring at the guard, so as not to let on to anyone that he'd heard. There was definitely something moving inside that wagon, and Feras was behaving rather peculiarly. He went to try his luck. 'Sir Feras, what might be the problem?'

"Uhm... nothing! Just some wild animal that managed to stow away in the wagon." Feras said, turning back to Gariel "Maby you should be off to bed, you look rather tired." He suggested.
Yuuta began thrashing around more violently, now knowing that Gariel was nearby. Apparently Gariel had heard him but Yuuta needed to find a way to assist in his own escape, rather than being dead weight. However, whenever Yuuta tried to shift into his +anima the shackles cut into his skin, keeping him from morphing. He managed to find his belongings piled in one of the corners. Yuuta attempted to inch towards his possesions in order to find his sword and cut the rag that was tied around his head and mouth off.

'Wild animal? Poor thing' Gariel commented, sounding full of sorrow. Of course the man was lying, but even so, if a real wild animal had got caught up in all this, he'd feel awful for it. Gariel was good with animals, and knew that you had to be calm. 'I suggest you dont be harsh with it; animals will not obey unless you show them kindness' something that probably wouldnt happen with someone like Feras.
'Yes...i do feel tired, but i cant take without giving' he got up and walked over, which immediately put Feras on edge, both because Gariel was so close, and because the man's captured goods were, too. A few steps closer and the boy would see...Gariel said. 'Let me help' and smiled, 'its the least i can do, in return for your willingness to assist me'
Gariel knew he was pushing it, but managed to play it with such an innocent tone that Feras was finding it difficult to find reason to raise a weapon against him. Still....curiosity killed the cat; it could be the end of this boy.
