Shaw's P.O.V~ He knocked on my door at about 11 in the morning. "Nghhh, waittasecond.." I moaned, rolling out of bed. My head hurt from a hangover.. too much to drink- Skipper wasn't going to be too happy. I stumbled to the door and cracked it open, trying to let in as little light as possible.
Just as I suspected, Skip was standing there. He was rubbing his hands together and dressed in a pull-over and scarf that almost completely covered his face. I opened the door more and bent over so that I was more at his level, "I thought ya were still sleepin'. Where d'ja go?" It was late fall and cold during the mornings- he was normally up early, but didn't wander until about two o'clock. Skip smiled and pointed at the table, a loaf of bread sat there. "Oh, ha." I managed, awkwardly scratching my head with an embarrassed sort of blush I suppose, "I didn' notice." Man was my head aching..
Skip's face darkened and he fixed me with a harsh look and tapped his head harshly. I knew what that he meant, but it's just easier to play dumb, "Hm? Wha' does tha' mean?"
Skip's P.O.V~ That man makes me crazy. He knew perfectly well that I knew that he was drinking last night. He can be so stupid. Every time he does that, he gets what he deserves. 4 hours of misery. Serves him right. I just wondered when the best him to tell him that I had spotted someone wandering around. Clumsily following me to our secret home on the cliff-like part of the Opal Sea shores.

Anya carefully made her way up the trail on the cliff, doing her best not to look down at the water many feet below. She had just been playing on the shore, having a good time, when she saw a figure walking on the side of the cliff. At first, she had blinked and rubbed her eyes, thinking it was a trick. But, she wasn't being decieved. There was someone walking along the side of the cliff!
Scouting carefully in that direction, Anya looked for a way up to the cliff, and almost gave up before she found a near-invisible path. If you didn't know it was there, or weren't specifically looking for it, you would've never seen it. So, here she was, hugging the wall of the cliff as wind buffeted her, making it difficult to move. She took another step. And another. She could make it up. It was too late to turn back now, anyway.

(yay!! u!) Skip's POV~ I took a deep breath. Then entered Shaw's room without a knock. He was facing away from the door, and snoring loudly- taking a nap... just as expected. I folded my arms and stomped over to him. I bent down slightly, then mustering all of my strength began to push and shove against his broad back until he toppled onto the floor.
"Gah! Wotcher Capin'! All hands on deck! Thar be a whale in these waters!" The great man sputtered and thrashed on the floor until he finally realized that it was no longer one of his alcohol-induced dreams. He slowly got to his feet and gave me a glare- "Now wot have I told ya 'bout disturbin' me wiffout knockin' eh?"
I rolled my eyes and glowered. That fixed him significantly. I then did my best to get him to follow me. I made hand gestures and when he didn't get that much id did this. And it really bugs him- so it worked. I took off my pullover so that i was only wearing a thin, sleeveless shirt, and ran outside.
He can be such a mom! "OI! Put on sumthin'! Yer gonna git sick!" He was right behind me. He would be a little peeved, to be sure but he could handle it.
Shaw's POV~ I finally managed to catch up to the little bugger, and swept him up into my arms, trying to get him warm. He struggled and pointed frantically. "Hold on! Stoppit! Now why would ya do a thing like tha'??" I demanded. He stared at me meaningfully and then with a rigid finger pointed straight at a little figure teetering on the edge of the secret- yet still dangerous- cliff pass. I set Skip down and gave him my jacket. Then without a sound changed into my anima and disappeared into the ocean. Praying first that they wouldn't fall, and second- that they would turn back.

Anya shivered slightly, as the wind was beginning to chill her, although she was wearing a long-sleeved dress that went all the way down to her ankles. She took another step, bracing herself against the wall of rock as the wind whipped her blue hair in all directions. She took another step, but slipped on a rock. Teetering, she wedged her small hands into tight cracks, and let out a sigh of relief. Sometimes, it was good to be a little six-year-old.
Carefully pulling her hands out of the rocks, Anya took another step, and another, making sure to watch where she was stepping. She must be over halfway to the top, or to whatever secret place the figure had been going. Maybe they were spies, or a secret fighting group! She could join!
Beaming with lips slightly chapped from the wind, Anya continued her slow climb up the cliff pass. She was almost there. Almost there. Probably.

Skip watched the figure anxiously. It was incredible that she was able to climb up that particular rock face. Shaw had always had a hard time going up that way, so he cut out a couple steps a little further down, around a bend on the ledge. Whoever they were, they certainly were brave. It he or she made it, eventually that person would find the little white ladder on a stouter part of the rock-face. They would be smart for finding the one of two ways into our secret cove. The must have been smart, I wanted to meet this person. Wrapping the loose folds of Shaw's sweater around me I began to climb the ladder to meet the stranger.

Anya took another step, and another. Soon she was around a bend in the rock face, and the path got a little wider. Sighing in relief, she focused on putting her feet in good spots, so she wouldn't trip on a rock again. Taking another step, and clinging to the wall through the wind, Any looked up, her blue hair getting whipped into her face. There was a white ladder on the wall! She had made it!
Then, Anya noticed someone climbing the ladder. She grinned, her chapped lips cracking slightly. She had been right! There was someone there, and they probably had some secret organization. Working up her courage, she took another step, but slipped on another rock, as she was watching the figure and not the ground, and was forced to wedge her hands into the rockface in order to regain her balance.

Skip's POV~ I continued to climb before something caught my eye. It was... it was.. I squinted- A girl! It was a girl! how.. strange was it that a girl who appeared not more than about six had made that trip, when not even Shaw could! I hurriedly climbed to the top of the ladder, just as the girl began to move into the easiest part of the path. She stared at me with wide eyes her mouth open. I'm sure I was doing the same thing. I wanted to say something- I really did. But i physically could not. So I held out my hand to her. And she held out her own. I recoiled with a gasp. Her hands were terribly scratched and bleeding.- it was from the rocks.. they were sandstone after all. The sandstone probably had coral in it- and I know that if you get cut by coral you'll get scars if you're lucky but usually your whole hand can get infected, then you have to... to... well- you get my drift. I looked at he long ladder, then at the girl. She looked very confused. I turned and made motions for her to climb on my back.

Anya looked down at her hand, ruffled. Why was he shocked at her hands? They were just all hurt. That happened lots when she was playing. It was no big deal. Looking up at the strange boy, confused, she wondered what he was doing up here. Was he a part of the secret organization?
Holding back the question, cause she could ask his bosses, Anya watched curiously as the boy made motions to his back. He wanted her to climb on? She grinned. "Piggy-back ride!" Anya announced, clapping her hands in joy before clambering up on the boy's back. She giggled, happy to be up here, and then put her arms loosly around the boy's neck. She dinna want to make him choke. Anya had accidently done that to someone befores, and they got mads!

The girl was light.. to light. I wondered where she came from, if she came from anywhere at all. She seemed full of spark and didn't look like she was going hungry, but her weight gave the true story. I made sure she was secure then began to descend. She was suprisingly calm- most kids her age wouldn't be able to handle such a height. I was that way when I was small. The pirates changed that- but that it a whole different history.
The descent took little time and we were soon safely on the ground. The girl looked ready to bust from excitement. I took her by the hand and began to lead her to the the sort of bungalow that was our home. I couldn't just leave her out there. Skip, however, was going to have a fit.

Anya hummed happily as they went, having fun. It was so high! She looked over the edge, gasping in delight. The water looked so prettiful! It was amazing! What a perfect place to build a secret organization. The little girl looked down on the boy she was currently riding on. He must be a look-out!
As soon as they were on steady ground, and not on the ladder anymore, Anya practically jumped off the boy's back, very excited. She wanted to go see the organization. The girl was slightly disappointed however, as the sentry boy began to lead her towards a funny-looking house. That was it? A thought came to her, though, and she was soon skipping with excitement once again. It was all secret! Underground! Of course!
Anya hummed as they walked, resisting the urge to drag the boy behind her and run ahead.

I glanced at the waves- they tended to be gentler during the winter season. I wondered how Shaw was faring.
I walked methodically up the wooden stairs to the house while the girl practically cleared them in one bound and stood impatiently by the door. When I reached her, the second I opened the door she was nearly shaking with anticipation.
I couldn't figure out for the life of me why she would be so excited.. it was only me and Shaw. Casually, I led her inside and set to rekindling the fire which had faded significantly. I hoped for two things- one, that girl wouldn't ask any questions (it is sincerely embarrassing when someone asks you a question and all you can do is look at them- wishing you had the ability to help), and two- that shaw was alright.
Shaw's POV~ Shivering in the cold water I kept staring at the cliff face. I hoped the person hadn't fallen before I got there... actually maybe I did. I know it sounds bad but that way Skip and I would stay safe. i dipped my head back under the water and used my tail to begin to propel me in the direction of the shore.

Anya peered in the house, expecting something grander than the homely atmosphere. It actually reminded her of some of the homes in the town she used to live in. Not her home, but others that she had popped in, just to run an errand or two. But still... It was nice, even if it wasn't what she expected.
Anya yawned, her energy disappearing now that her adrenaline of hope was gone. She was tired. That climb took a long time. Maybes... the organization would let her stay the night. Yawning again, Anya plopped down in one of the chairs by the fire, curling up into a tight ball, and slipping into half-sleep.

Shaw's POV- I came out of the water shivering and began to trudge toward the house.. trying to come up with something to say to Skipper. I took my time in getting off my now sandy boots. I carefully opened the door, "'eh, Skip.." I mumbled. slowly stepping into the doorway. He was kneeling by the fire offering a small smile and nervously rubbing his hands together in his lap. "wot's a matter?' I asked.
Skip put a finger over his lips to indicate silence then nodded toward the chair that I usually used. There was someone in it. "wot tha--?!" I gasped.
In the corner of my eye I saw Skip bite his lip.

Hearing a loud, male voice break through her drowsiness, Anya lifted her head, blinking her eyes. "Times to gets up?" Her small voice sounded sleepily, as the young girl sat up, rubbing her face and eyes like a cat. "Tired..."
She turned her head, trying to find the sound of the noise. The boy that had led her here was sitting in the chair opposite her, looking at her and biting his lip. Nopes, not him. Anya turned her head a bit more, seeing a dripping figure out of the corner of her eye. They widened, surprised, as they took in the figure, probably the one that had talked.
Her first thought was that he was a werewolf. But... It was still daytime. And it wasn't a full moon, was it? Or was it when there were no moons that werewolves? No... Vampires were the ones that changed with the moon! Werewolves were the ones scared of garlic. Anya leaned on the back of the chair, staring at the new figure with wide, curious eyes. "You Werewolf?" she asked, pointing.

Shaw~ "Wh-wha...? Werewolf?" I realized I was still in my plus anima form. The wide-eyed girl continued to stare at me. Like she was waiting for something. I shook my head, "look missie- I dunno wot a werewolf is.. imma +anima, m'kay? An otter."
The girl watched me expectantly. I recalled my +anima features. I turned to Skip who was smiling awkwardly."-oh' exactly is this?" He didn't even try to explain.. not that he would've even if he could.
