'Uh...' Taron shook his head in disbelief, and looked inside the bag. It was pretty full, and would be worth alot in food and clothes. He nodded his head slowly. 'Yes...i think it is' Then he smiled at her. 'That was..great. You're great at what you do too' Taron could never hope to be as fast or have such agility, which limited him to usually getting things out of pity. At that moment he was extremely jelous of both Claw and Bane. Also...he was slightly anoyed that she hadnt done this in the first place. Not only could he go and buy a better blanket, it would have saved him his previous embarassment.
'Thankyou' he said, generally grateful, as he always was whenever anyone did something like this for him. Stealing was different, but when someone willingly gave Taron anything that wasnt all part of his tricks, he always felt warm inside. She needed it as much as him, them being in similar situations, and could keep it for herself and her brother.
'I wont use it all, just for what i need. Dont you need anything new?' Her clothes werent as tattered as his, but they werent quite perfect either. He found himself wondering how she'd look in one of those expensive pretty dresses rich people wear.

At Taron's compliment, Ruko smiled. "Thanks, and no problem." At his offer, she shook her head, holding up the third and final bag. "I can get something with this. You keep that one." The bag was larger than the one she gave Thofte, but it was smaller, though not by much, than Taron's. She would get some clothes for Winter, but she didn't need anything else, unlike Taron.
"Whatcha wanna get first?" she asked, looking up at the sky to check the time. It was around noon, probably a little before, judging on the position of the sun, so they had plenty of time. In the background, she heard the outraged cries of three people discoverin their money was gone, and smiled slightly. Wherever Taron decided to go first, it didn't matter. Ruko'd just get her clothes whenever they stopped to get them. Thofte didn't need any, but he could get something with that small amount of money.
Thofte opened the bag Ruko gave him, counting the money. He could get something! Whenever Ruko gave him money, he was allowed to buy whatever he wanted that the money would get him. Sometimes, the people wanted more coins than he had, so he couldn't get what he wanted, though. He noticed that both Rok and Ruko had bags, too. What were they going to get? Thofte didn't even know what he was going to get himself... With that thought, he stood up, gently grabbing Ruko's left hand.

A little bewildered at her unexpected generosity, Taron thanked her again for the money, and stored it in one of his pockets safely. He wasnt really afraid of loosing it to another theif (Claw would probably step in and make them cry), more he was afraid of the previous victims finding out who'd stolen the bags. They should move on quickly to a different part of town.
'Clothes, i think' He replied, leading them out of the alley and starting a slow walk down the street. It wasnt long before they came across a fairly pleasant looking tailors storefront. The clothes on display were plain and practicle; ideal for Taron. He turned to Claw, not wanting to head on in without her approval first.

(XD "Claw would probably step in and make him cry")
Clothes. Good. Then Ruko could get what she wanted, and not have to wait. Fine by her. When Taron looked at her for her approval, she rolled her eyes. "Honestly, I really hope you can decide what clothes you want by now. I just don't get you sometimes." She sighed. "People are too complicated. That's why I prefer it just me and Bane."
Ruko shrugged. "Anyway, it's good." She grabbed Taron's hand and marched him into the shop, with Thofte following behind them. After warning Thofte not to touch anything unless he was going to buy it, Ruko dragged Taron over to the boy's clothes that would be about his size. Since they were practically the same height, they'd fit her too. There was no way she was gonna get a dress, anyways. Her pants were good with her. Forgetting to let go of Taron's hand, she turned to him. "Happy?"

(XD, well she would!)
'Excuse me for double checking' he muttered under his breath as Claw pulled him through the entrance. She was anoyed with him (as always); he briefly wondered if there would ever be a time when she wasnt anoyed. Maybe that was just what her semi-isolated life had made of her, she's retreated inside herself, only tolerating Bane. He could understand, but...her grip was really quite painful.
Finally she stopped and turned to Taron. He felt relief, but then it vanished when he realised she hadnt loosened her hold. Hang on...he only just registered that she was holding his hand. Blushing faintly, he swiped his hand back quickly. 'Y-yeah..' his eyes quickly swept over the boys clothes, searching for anything cheap and simple. There were a few pairs of darkly coloured trousers. That would work; the dirt wouldnt show up so much on that material, and they looked comfy to move in. Taron moved over and felt the dark brown pair that looked about his length, but a voice stopped him quickly.
'No no!! Dont touch, young man, thats fine clothing there, not to be fiddled with. Buy, and then you can touch all you like' A short, older looking fellow seeminly appeared out of nowhere and put himself between Taron and the item, glaring. Taron looked down, but then up again to meet the mans gaze.
'Fine then, what price?'

(XD True... And "her grip was quite painful" XD)
Ruko's eyes widened slightly when Taron snatched his hand out of hers, blushing. Hah! That embarrassed him, for reasons she didn't get. She wouldn't mind if he grabbed her hand. Well, she'd probably hit him, not get embarrassed. Ruko made a mental note to hold his hand more often. It would be the comedy for her day.
Her eyes narrowed as the man showed up, and she was about to make an angry comeback when Taron spoke. Eyes glinting mischeiviously, though she was secretly proud of him for at least not being a doormat, Ruko stepped between Taron and the man, in the little space that was left. "Listen, mister, we can afford any price you got, so Taron can touch that all he wants! We're meaning to buy!" She glared at him.
The man appeared very ruffled. "Step aside, girl. This is the business of men, not for silly little girls like yourself to get involved in." He sneered up at her. Clearly, he didn't value her business.
Ruko's face was like a devil's. She was furious. "Girl? Did you just call me a girl? Well, listen to me, mister. I suppose you think girls prance around in dresses all day, doing cooking and cleaning." She gestured to her ragged pants and shirt. "Does this look like a dress to you? Do I look like some little idiot girl to you?" The man looked frightened, and took a step back. "Thought so."
Squealing a little, the man disappeared behind the counter. Ruko turned to Taron, her irritation still apparent in her face, though she didn't direct it at him. "Ignore him, Taron. Touch them over all you want." With that, she began looking through the racks of pants, looking for a good one about her size.

Taron cringed as the argument started getting out of hand. The man was being ridiculously unfair; why would he turn away customers like that? It was beyond Taron. Maybe this little store did well, and the owners could afford to miss a penny here and there. At first he hadnt wanted Claw to step in, prefering to just step back and accept, but as soon as the man gave that cold sexist remark, Taron changed his mind. He was glad for once that someone had the guts to speak up, when he himself couldnt.
'Thanks' he mumbled, turning his attention back to the clothes. To be honest, the whole thing was a bit exadurated (sp?), almost as if they both thought the only reason Taron had stepped into the shop was so he could run his hands over all of the outfits. That embarassed him, and he blushed again.
Finally he decided on a nice pair of thick, brown trousers, and took them off the rack. Avoiding the old man's eye, he looked around for a changing room, or something similar. It didnt really matter if they were too big, but he didnt want to go using Claw's money badly.

Seeing Taron's searching eye, Ruko jammed her thumb in the direction of a pair of doors set into the opposite wall. "I'm guessing the changing rooms are there." When the owner made no sound to contridict (sp?) her, she nodded. "Yup." Grabbing a pair of long, stretchy light brown pants (sweatpants) and a red long-sleeved shirt with embroidered brown leaves on it, a girl's top, she vanished into one of them.
Inside, she tried on both, and found them the right size. The red shirt was a bit tighter on her than she'd have liked, and lower, but it would be okay. She had a jacket, anyway. Changing back into her ragged clothes, she left the room, not even looking to see if Taron was out there. Thofte, who had been sitting right outside the door, quickly got up and followed her. Ruko's brown leather boots were fine. She didn't need new ones.
Ruko walked up to the counter, and the owner popped out from underneath. "Th-that would be 1-100 gillers, miss." 100! She sucked in her breath, slightly ticked, but handed over the money, before dropping her new clothes in her bag.

Taron nodded, and entered a different changing room. It was tiny, but had a big mirror. He blinked. God, he really was filthy; his hair stuck out in all directions and he'd neglected to clean off alot of bloodstains here and there, which had turned a nasty brown colour over time. No wonder the shopowner had picked on him. He looked like the tramp he was.
Removing the old rags, Taron tried on the trousers. They were a bit stiff, he noticed as he moved his legs about experimentally, but other than that, he liked them. He hoped after a few days they'd loosen up. As an afterthought, Taron turned so his back was to the mirror, and looked over his shoulder. The material was tough, but somehow he'd have to cut a discreet hole for his tail. The old pair had been baggier, easy to work with concerning the tail. Oh well, nothing was going to be perfect, and Taron didnt fancy staying in this store much longer with that man watching him.
Whilst hidden in the changing room, he also checked out a pale dusty coloured top he'd picked out at the last minute. It was thick, almost more of a jumper, with a warm neck to it. That immediately caught Tarons liking; if it was warm, it would be fine. Smiling with his decision, he walked out to find Claw had already paid up, though she was looking a bit anoyed at something. He thought perhaps it was something to do with him.
'Sorry...was I in there a long time?'

Ruko looked up as Taron walked out of the dressing room, and heard his words. God... Not everything that she was ticked at had to do with him! And, she had been getting ticked at him slightly less. "No, no. You're fine." She jabbed a thumb in the direction of the owner, who peeked out over the top of his desk. "Mr. Sexist here just likes to charge a lot."
The man's face turned red with indignation, but at Ruko's glare, he didn't dare utter a sound, instead, his face paled back to normal.
Thofte, sitting on the ground by Ruko's feet, sighed slightly. He dinna wanna get any clothes here, but maybe they'd go someplace he could get stuff with the coins. Should he get a story? A new story would be fun...

Taron nodded, wishing they could just walk away at the moment. But Alas, he had to face that man again, so keeping his face expressionless, he went to the counter and asked for a price. When recieved, he paid up with exact change, took his things and headed straight out the door.
Once out in the sun, Taron opened the bag and slipped the fleecey top on immediately. Unlike most people, he enjoyed being too warm...well actually there wasnt really a 'too warm' for him, the warmer, the better. He may look a bit odd wearing a winter shirt on a day that could have been a summers, but that didnt bother him. Although...he refrained from changing his trousers until later, when perhaps they wouldnt be in the middle of the street where people could see. On top of that, Claw was now beside him, which would make it more embarassing.
'So what did you buy?' he asked, suddenly realising he hadnt had a chance to see. She must have bought something; the bag was a big clue.
((XD alas...i probably havent used that right, but it sounds cool, lol, alas!!))

(XD "refrained from changing his trousers in the middle of the street" "Claw was beside him... make it more embarrassing." I should HOPE so!)
"Oh." Ruko, who had been walking next to him, silent. She had just been thinking mildly about the last time she had been in a town... It wasn't altogether that different, though she figured things must vary slightly from town to town. She pulled out her red girl's top, which was long-sleeved and had some embroidered brown leaves on the bottom hem. "Just this, and a pair of brown trousers. Nothing much."
She grinned slightly, seeing that Taron had already donned his winter sweater. "I see you already put yours on. Aren't you hot at all?" Ruko asked, dropping her top back in the bag.
Thofte followed the two, before he saw a few kids that looked to be his age laughing and talking. Taking a sideglance at Ruko and Rok, who weren't paying attention, he slipped away, following the kids to a side alley. One of them, the largest who seemed to be the leader, just like Ruko, noticed him. "Hey, kid, you wanna play with us?" Thofte nodded, beaming. "What's your name?"
Thofte hesitated, before answering. He couldn't say his own name, but... "Ruko!" He announced proudly. A strange look appeared on the boy's face, before he motioned to the others, who were both boys and girls, though mostly boys.
"Everyone, this is Ruko. He's gonna play with us!"

((HAHA!))
'Its nice' he said, absently. Actually, he thought the top looked very nice, and part of him was eager to see her wear it at some point.
Taron found her question amusing, as he always did when people asked. Its as if they'd totally ignored everything he'd told them before. He thought she might understand, her being different like him, but obviously not. Still, he stopped himself saying anything wrong to her; she'd only asked, and knowing Claw, she probably wouldnt ask again.
'Cold-blooded, remember? This way i wont freeze up like i did first thing this morning' God that was anoying. Autumn really was an awkward time; Getting cold enough that he had morning problems like that, but still not really harsh enough that he could wrap up without looking like a complete fool. 'I need all the warmth i can get'
((XD i wanna let thofte play for a bit before Taron notices his absense))

Ruko nodded absentmindedly. "I get it. I guess that's sort of a bummer." She hadn't registered the fact that his +Anima would make him cold-blooded. Sometimes, it was surprising the pros and cons you would get. Like, for example, Ruko often found herself craving the strangest meats. Still, cold-blooded would be a bit worse.
Shrugging her shoulders, Ruko voiced a few of her thoughts. "Sometimes, it's strange. The pros and cons you get from your +Anima." It was true. Why did you get the traits you did? Who decided it? Ruko smiled slightly to herself. This was the most she had ever thought for ages.
Thofte tailed behind the children, racing after them as they ran through the streets. He knew Ruko would find out that he was away soon, and he wanted to have as much fun as he could. One of the boys looked back at him. "Ruko! Hurry up!" Thofte pumped his legs harder, desperately trying to keep up with the boys. It worked, and though he was still at the tail end of the group, he was only a few steps behind.
He grinned, elated. He was having so much fun! "Ruko!" He announced gleefully.

Taron considered her little statement. It was true; the fact that a +anima often came with odd side-effects. He seemed to have been blessed with the odd side-effect jackpot, and he hated it.
'Tell me about it. It's messed my life up completely. Well...sure its because of it that i'm alive, but having to adapt is just too hard sometimes, and ever since...i got it...i havent really needed it at all' Sometimes his lizard helped with the outdoor life he lived, but to be honest, he was pretty sure he could cope without it.
Taron went to ask her about her 'pros and cons' when a thought made him glance over his shoulder. Following his realisation of the absence of a certain little kid, he spun round completely, scanning the road they'd been walking down. 'Um...' he said, a look of concern and worry on his face. 'How well does Bane cope on his own?' Maybe he was over-reacting. The kid probably wandered off all the time, and Claw wouldnt be bothered. A bit apprehensive of her reaction, he turned to her.
