Ruko had been going through her bag, double-checking that everything was there, and right where it was supposed to be. At Taron's question, she glanced up, and then swung her legs over the side of the bed. "A lot," she told him, raising one eyebrow. "It doesn't matter. We can always get more." And by we, she meant herself. Taron's method of stealing worked better for items, not money. Money was her thing.
Grabbing some clean clothes out of her pack, Ruko stood up, making her way to the bathroom. "I claim the bathroom first," she told the two boys, before firmly shutting the door behind her. It didn't have a lock, but she'd murder either of them if they walked in. Starting the water, she quickly undressed, siding in. Ahh... It was so warm and nice... And it was a good thing that they had a nice inn, too, otherwise there wouldn't be plumbing. Shutting it off, Ruko sank into the water. It felt nice, cleaning off.
Thofte nodded sleepily at his sister's command. They hadn't had dinner yet, but he was tired. Someone would wake him up when it was time to eat. Curling up on the bed, fully-clothed and on top of the covers, he dropped into sleep.

Alot...Taron opened his mouth to speak, when Claw suddenly announced it was her turn to use the bathroom. Um...Fair enough, it wasnt as if he was desperate to get in there himself, and Bane was falling asleep on the bed. She closed the door, and he laid back on the bed, absently chewing his lip.
After a while, he let his eyes close. It was surprisingly quiet in the room; as if the outside world wasnt a noisy mass of people pushing and shoving, getting in some last shopping for the day. He supposed they were quite high up, judging by that long trip upstairs previously undertaken. Somewhat bored, Taron sat up and looked through his bag. It would be a bit pointless putting on the new trousers this late in the day. Instead he found the book, freaky animals or something, and laid back down, flicking through the pages.
Amazingly, or maybe not, he managed to find what he had guessed would be in there. Of course, why wouldnt a lizard who spurts eye-blood be in this book? He let out a faint chuckle, insulted, but at the same time amused, that his +anima was classed as a 'freaky animal'

Quickly finished taking her bath, Ruko dried off, slipping on the clothes she usually went to bed in, her "pajamas", though they weren't truly that. A loose tank, and sweat pants that were a tad large on her, though it was more comfortable that way. Rubbing the towel over her hair, she opened the door, walking out of the bathroom and shutting the door quickly behind her.
Thofte was sleeping on the bed, and and Taron was reading his book on his bed. Ruko stepped over to her bed, holding back a yawn. Planting it on his bed, next to him, she looked over his shoulder, studying the page, and then grinning. "Hah! You're in the freaky animals book! Why am I not surprised, Taron?" She stood up, and walked over to her bed, still smiling to herself.
Ruko pulled her jacket (sweatshirt) out of her bag. When they went to go eat someplace, she'd slip that on. Getting her new book out of her backpack, she hesitated, deciding if she wanted to read or not. Did she want to start it now, or should they go eat? She voiced her question for Taron. "Hey, Taron, do you wanna go eat now, or later?"

Taron looked up briefly when Claw appeared again, wearing different clothes. He wondered why...perhaps to sleep in, but they didnt look like normally sleeping clothes...what were they called? Pyjamas? He couldnt really be bothered to think about it. Taron was comfortable enough in what he was wearing, and if it kept him warm, that was the most important thing. He'd just sleep as he was.
He couldnt help smiling when she noticed what he was reading about. 'yeah i know' he said, sighing, and bounced up to sit crosslegged. He would have hit back with a sarcastic comment about her +anima, but couldnt really think of anything good, and besides, insulting or angering Claw was the last thing he wanted to do. Closing the book carefully, he stored it safely back in the bag and faced her again.
'Depends what food is' If it was just fruit and stuff, they already had it with them now, and could eat right here, so there was no rush. But, he remembered they'd planned to get something warm? In that case, they'd have to venture outside again, and it was getting dark fast. 'We're loosing the light. if we want something hot, best go get it now. Unless you can hunt well in the dark?' Actually, she probably could.

"Hmm..." Ruko thought over all the possibilities in her mind, turning them over. She could see possible solutions to each one, but there were also a few cons mixed in. "If you don't care what food it is, there's fruit and dried meat right here. That's probably not the best solution, as we need to dry the fruit for winter." One possibility down, along with cons. Two to go.
She stated the next possibility. "I can hunt whenever, wherever. Doesn't matter. I'd probably want to go hunting now, though, before it gets too cold." When it was night and winter, it could get freezing cold. That was not fun to hunt in, plus most animals were huckered down in their burrows. "Then we'd have to cook it, though, cause you and Bane don't like raw, though he'd eat it." Ruko snorted with slight laughter at a thought. "Doubt they'd like it if I dragged a dead deer through their lobby. Or started a fire in the room." If she tried, she could probably persuade the manager it was alright, though.
Finally, the last option. "If we want something hot, we can just order it from room service. This is a decently classy place." Decently, mind you. She'd stayed in better. Ruko leaned back against her pillows, though she was still sitting. "Your pick." She didn't care, and besides, he was predictable.

Taron walked right into it, based on his dislike for raw meat, and the fact that she was right about the whole dragging-a-deer thing. To be honest, he hadnt expected her to target prey like that, and it made Taron feel like such a novice hunter; his prey was always tiny, just enough to sustain him. Having said that, a fire in the room seemed like a nice idea...he absently wondered what would be better, being outside, but with a lovely fire, or being inside, without one...
After more random thoughts on this theory, and how he might go about testing it, Taron suddenly realised he hadnt given an answer.
'I'll pay. I vote option 3, room service' Somehow he was more willing to pay than he was to make her hunt in the cold and poor light outside (that was saying something; Taron rarely paid if it was avoidable) and it was only fair, after she'd provided finance for the room.

He would pay? Ruko raised an eyebrow at this. He would pay, with the money that she had stolen for him? Irony, anyone? But, as she had suspected, he was predictable, and chose room service. THAT was the option she liked, and she had figured that Taron would accept it, what with the carefully placed cons she had added. They were all real, though.
Standing up, Ruko nodded. "Sounds good to me. I'll be right back." Without waiting for Taron's response, she strode out the door, slipping on her jacket (sweatshirt) as she went. Making her way downstairs, she adressed the manager. "Excuse me, sir, but me and my companions would like to have room service. We're in room 307."
He looked up, smiling. "Of course, my dear. What would you like to have? There was a menu in your room, if I'm not mistaken."
Ruko smiled, noddind. "Yes, but there were so many good things, I couldn't decide! Please, can we have three servings of the meat special, four servings of your finest bread, and three servings of red-skin mashed potatoes?" She and Thofte had a thing for mashed potatoes.
The managed nodded. "Good choices, madam. The food will be up shortly."

Claw hadnt really accepted his offer, but atleast she hadnt outright declined it. Well...what difference did it make, really, who payed, if everything was to be shared in their group of 3? Still...even if the money wasnt his own, it gave Taron a good feeling to offer up what Claw had given him.
She disapeared, and Taron let out a long sigh. Without meaning it to, it sounded like one of desperation, and was louder than he'd intended. Bane hadnt woken up though. Good. Taron grinned to himself. Stop that! What have you got to be depressed about? Nothing. he had a warm place to sleep, nice new clothes, money, food, friends, and this blanket. Snuggling into it, lay back down on the bed, glad Claw was taking care of things for him. It was a rare feeling, and he was enjoying being spoiled.
Rolling over, he closed his eyes, thinking. If Claw were in a real pack, not some silly gang (which was what he considered her situation), a proper natural pack, he bet she would be the alpha. Forget Alpha male, she could outmatch any guy with little difficulty. Did tigers live in packs? He wasnt sure...
The door opened, and he looked up from the pillow. 'All okay?'

Ruko quickly made her way upstairs, opening the door to Taron's voice. "All okay?" Honestly, did he really need to ask that? "A question. Fine way to greet someone. Honestly." She found she was using the word quite a bit more. Stopping at Thofte's bed, and, seeing that he was still alseep, Ruko made her way over to her bed, sitting cross-legged on it and pulling off her sweatshirt.
"Of course it's alright. No need to ask. Geez." Finding the need to specifiy, Ruko told him what was on the way up. "Their specialty meat, finest bread, and red-skinned mashed potatoes are on their way up right now." Ah, mashed potatoes. Her favorite food. Moreso Thofte's than hers, however.
Thofte was dreaming. Rok was there, Ruko, of course, and that boy that always made her cry or be embarrassed. They were running from something, but he couldn't ask what. Whenever he tried to talk, the words caught in his throat and choked him. Just like real life. According to the doctors, though he had autisim, he could speak just fine. He was perfectly normal in that area. In fact, he was supposed to have excellent speaking skills. Thofte did, but he chose not to use them. Because the words choked him, and would rush out if he tried to let them loose. Not fun.

((daww poor bane))
Taron recoiled, wishing he hadnt said anything. To be honest, he was getting used to Claw and her comments, and with it being late in the day, he was getting to the point where he just didnt really care. Instead of biting back, he let his head rest on the pillow again, mumbling an apology.
Luckily, Claw didnt let the awkward air hang for very long, and quickly moved back to the food topic. Ooh...Speciality meat Sounded...well...special. He hoped it lived up to its label. Taron would judge if it was really that special or not. Then again, he was hungry, and food was food. As long as it was edible...
'Sounds great' he said, opening his eyes and turning his gaze in her direction. Then he forced himself up to a sitting position. It wouldnt be good falling asleep right before dinner, though that apparently hadnt bothered Bane.

(XD Yeah, he seems like this happy little kid, but he's not. Why are pretty much all of my characters tortured inside? Either that, or they're rude.)
Ruko smiled slightly as Taron forced himself up. If he was tired, he could sleep. In fact, she'd have joined Thofte, but she had to take care of stuff here. Leader, weren't she? But she wouldn't mind if Taron drifted up. "You know, if you're that tired, you can sleep. I'll wake you up when food gets here." She shook her head. "Geez. No manners needed here, and there's no one to keep watch for in a hotel room. 'Sides, I'd shred anyone who tried." He probably already knew that, but just to make sure...
Thofte, rousing himself from his nightmare, blinked his eyes open, and sat up, yawning. "Morn." He had slipped, though small. He couldn't say anything for a bit, otherwise the words would tumble out. Come tumbling and tumbling and then they'd never stop. And everything inside of him would be pulled away and come spilling out of him. No, he couldn't.

'Uhuh...' Taron nodded at her reassurance, a sound which translated to 'sure whatever'. As long as the threats werent directed at him, he was completely okay with them now, and didnt doubt the truth in them either.
'No thanks. If i go, i wont get up until tomorrow' It was true. Sleep slows the body down, rather dangerous for someone like Taron. If he went now, he'd never get any dinner down his neck, and wake up hungry. That was never a nice feeling, especially when he nearly always woke up stiff and unable to move. The food would be there, but he'd be simply unable to chew anything for a while. Looking up, he smiled defiantly, wondering if she considered his tiredness a waekness. 'I can wait'
Bane came to all of a sudden, and spoke a single word. Taron blinked, sitting in silence. Had he heard that correctly? But...Bane didnt say anything other than 'Ruko' and the other odd words in his own language. Actually...Taron hadnt known the boy for that long, how could he assume? Instead of questioning it, he waited for Claw's reaction. That would be a good guide.

At Taron's words, Ruko shrugged, uncaring, and figuring he had reasons which she didn't want to take the time to hear. "Fine, if you don't want to... But then you'll have to get enough sleep tonight. Sleep deprivation is an outlaw's worst enemy. That, and the cops." She attempted to crack a mild joke, uncaring if he understood it or not. Unfortunately for them, they were outlaws just by being +Anima. Well, there was always Asteria.
"Morn." Ruko froze. As in, she didn't move. Thofte... spoke? As in, normally? Not good. She cast her mind back to all those conferences, all the information that they had been given by the servants. Oh, yeah, he HAD been SUPPOSED to be an awesome speaker, but he wasn't. Strange, that he did now. Couldn't drop her guard too much around Taron, though.
After about a minute of being frozen in shock, and thinking, Ruko unfroze, smiling at Thofte. "It's not morning yet, Bane. We're waiting for dinner." Her smile hid her true confusion, and slight hurt that he hadn't told her. She was quite good at masking her own emotions. Happened quite a bit, but the other night. Sleep deprivation.

Taron settled. Claw hadnt made such a big deal of Bane's little outburst (if you could call it that, it was just one word...), well atleast she didnt look too freaked. Actually...that probably didnt mean alot. Wouldnt life be much simpler if he could read minds? Not being able to suss her out was really quite anoying.
He went to lay down again, but quickly stopped himself and jerked upright again. Almost. Sleep time is not now, you can keep it together for a little longer... Luckily (or not) the knowledge that food was on the way had worked to increase his hunger by alot. Now he was feeling so empty he felt he might pass out. Should have bought a snack in town or something...Well it helped keep him awake anyway. Hunger was one of the worst kinds of pains, in his opinion.
Regarding Bane, Taron decided to keep quiet. Maybe later Claw would tell him something, only if she knew herself, of course.

A knock sounded on the door. "Room service!" a young female voice called. Ruko, grinning, opened the door, revealing a uniformed girl bearing a wheeled cart of food. With wide eyes, the girl took in Ruko's attire, and Taron sitting on the bed. Ruko could just see the rumors flying.
"Thank you very much," Ruko told her abruptly, before taking the cart from her and shutting the door. She wheeled it over between Taron's and her beds, and Thofte followed her, sitting next to her. "Let's see what their specialties are!" Whatever it was, it smelled good.
Ruko pulled the silver top off of one of the three trays, dropping it on the bottom rack of the cart. Underneath the first was ribs, and she smiled. There were definitely enough for them to eat their share, and since Ruko ate a ton, being the +Anima she was... "Perfect! Ribs!" she announced, delighted, and opened the second, revealing plenty of loaves of sourdough bread. Finally, under the third, Ruko revealed the red-skinned mashed potatoes.
