Kiri came to an abrupt stop as they suddenly passed a sign labelled "Port City", emerging into a small but active town as they stepped onto its streets.
Finally, they were there.
A wide, satisfied smile came across Kiri's face as she gazed around with excited eyes. "We're here, we made it! We're here!" She chimed, passing her grin back to Mika before turning and staring back down the main-street.
"It's that way to the ocean, right? Come on! I want to see the ocean!" She prompted brightly, all at once turning and running towards the direction of the docks without waiting for an answer.

Mika giggled. Kiri was always so full of energy. I guess she's really exicited about this. Well I am too, but... Mika had been used to the ocean so it wasn't that exciting to her so she followed behind Kiri, walking. Catching up to Kiri, Mika began to rummage through her backpack for the whistle that Tobi had given her when she first decided to leave the boat to explore land.
Taking in a deep breath, she looked out at the ocean. The never-ending, unuseable water supply looked perfectly peaceful. She blew hard on the whistle and it sent out a high-pitched sound and she quickly treated from the whistle to cover her ears. "Ouchie...that hurt" she complained as she looked back down at the tan-colored whistle. "Well, now they're coming."

Kiri looked back at Mika in surprise as the whistle sounded, startled.
So...now they were coming.
She suddenly felt a slight, abrupt nervousness. What would Mika's companions think when they realized she'd brought someone else with her? What if they didn't like her and decided not to let her come? What would happen if Mika or one of the others on the boat discovered that she was a +anima?
No. She gave her head a brief shake, trying to dismiss her doubts. It wasn't right to let her excitement be dampened in such a beautiful place as this.
She turned back to the ocean, gazing out over the nearly endless blue expanse as it's liquid surface drifted gently in the wind and glistened in the sun. "The ocean is so beautiful..." She commented aloud. It wasn't the first time she'd seen it, but the sea was definitely an uncommon sight to her, and each time it's untamed, unexplored beauty both stunned and intimidated her.
Realizing that she might be looking a bit silly to her sailor companion, she turned back to Mika, the sparkle back in her eyes. "When do you think they'll be here?" She asked.

"It may be beautiful, but don't try to drink it" Mika laughed. Once, one of the members on the boat (his FIRST time on a boat) was really thirsty and he began to drink the water. He was sick three days after that.
"Oh...um...when they'll be here...hm" she had never used the whistle before to know how long it would take them to get here. Then again, they could be all the other way on Sailand or just on the boarder of Sailand and Asteria (in the water of course). "Lets give them two days to two weeks" she estimated just to be on the safe side.

"Oh...then I guess we'll have to find a place to stay here for while." Kiri commented, slightly disappointed that it sounded like there was still a while to wait.
Oh well, at least in the meantime the port was both exciting and pretty in its own right. "Do we still have money for an inn?" She asked, hoping that they wouldn't have to work off their keep while they waited.

"Yeah, I still have some money, but if it takes them the full two weeks, we'll either have to sleep outside or work for some more money." Mika began, then mumbling other things to herself like "I could always borrow more money from Tobi, but then again, he's not here yet..." and "I wounder what types of jobs they would have here? I hope they pay alot..."

Still too excited to pay much notice to Mika's mumblings, she started glancing around the city again, looking at what she could from their place on the beach. "Come on, then!" She prompted. "Let's go check out more of the city while we're here and find somewhere nice to stay!"

"Alright, Kiri" Mika sighed happily. At least Kiri wasn't bummed that the boat might not come instanly, but for a long time. Mika took lead and began to walk back to the village where people were rushing everywhere. "Ah" she breathed "It's just as nice as the first time I saw it."
Then, the stupidest thing happened. She triped over someones foot as she walked through the small crowd. Landing on her face, she got up slowly and wobbly. She looked at the person she triped on. It was a boy about a year younger than her. He was snickering and then ran off. "Ouch...that wasn't nice..." she moaned as she brushed off the dirt/sand that was stuck to her face.

"Hey!" Kiri cried angrily, seeing what happened.
It looked like that boy had tripped Mika purposely, but...what would the point of that be? She tensed in irritation, regardless of the fact that she hadn't been the one he'd played the prank on. "Idiot!" She spat in the direction the boy had disappeared in with her tongue out, not sure whether or not he could still hear or see her.
"Mika...are you all right?" She asked, turning back towards her companion as she got no response from the boy who'd taken off.

"Yeah. I'm alright, Kiri." Mika said, patting down her pants to get the sand off of them. "Well, let's go find some place to sleep. After that, lets see if we could go get a job, or somthing, you know." Mika planned as she began walking again, but triped once more.
"That one was me" Mika said, her voice muffled by the ground she failed to remove her face from. Getting up once more. "I guess being around open water makes me a clutz" she laughed off, not bothering to brush off the dirt and sand.
[[Hahahaha. This is so fun!]]

Kiri just gave a slight nervous laugh, glancing down at the dirt and sand that now covered her companion. Oh well...at least she seemed to be all right.
"Err...yeah, let's try to find somewhere to stay." Kiri agreed with a nod. "I hope we don't run into any more people like that boy again..."

"Yeah" Mika laughed "He a meanie boy" she said in her cutest, child voice. She began her way more into the marketing area and didn't see much except a few fish selling stalls and maybe a fruit stand or two. The smell of fish got to her and she closed her nose with her fingers.
"Wow" she coffed "This smells horrible"

"Yuck!" Kiri agreed, doing the same. "It smells worse the further we go into the market..."
She hoped they wouldn't have to eat this the whole time they were waiting for the boat, and for that matter she hoped they'd have something besides fish to eat once they got on it. Fish was one thing she wasn't a big fan of...

"It does smell like that. Let's go look for an inn, or a job, somewhere else." Mika said, turning around and heading for another part of town. It looked more like the center of the village since all the small shops, cafes and inns where here.
"Where do you want to go first?" she asked Kiri. Mika wanted to go to all these places, but she felt that if she went every where she wanted to go, she'd end up spending half her money, like what happened on the first day she arrived on land.

"Umm...let''s go look for an inn, and maybe once we know where we'll be staying we can find somewhere to work if we have to close by." Kiri decided, looking around at all the shops and inns lining the street. It definitely would feel good having somewhere to rest - the journey to the port city had been long and tiring.
"Hmm..." She pondered thoughtfully, trying to decide which of the many inns looked the most promising. "What about that one...?" She suggested, pointing to a quaint-looking two story inn that was still relatively small.
