Kiri smiled. Her eyes watching her companion's long and furry new tail. It seemed like quite a simple +anima, but she had no doubt that it could be useful.
"Can I see yours?"
"O...okay..." Kiri sputtered, having expected that outcome. Closing her eyes, she felt a brief rush of something tingly and warm, and when she opened them, she had transformed into her +anima form - something she hadn't actually done in a while. A stripped, bushy tail was now protruding from her lower back, and small round ears had replaced her human ones. She could also feel the tiny fangs in her mouth and the small claws where her fingernails usually were. Finding herself feeling a bit nervous, she forced another smile across her face and gave her tail a playful wave.

"Ah! Cute!" Mika awed, her eye large and adoring. She never thought that a snunk +anima could look so cute! She walked over to Kiri and gave her a hug. "I thought you said you didn't like it! But it's so cute!" she said.
Letting go of the hug, she told Kiri that it migt be good to get some sleep now. She climbed up onto the topbunk and snuggled under the sheets, quickly falling asleep.

Kiri's face flushed red as Mika suddenly took her into an unexpected hug.
Cute... Was it cute? She'd never thought of it that way before...
The situation made her a bit uncomfortable, but she couldn't stop a grin from appearing on her red face.
Mika mentioned that it would be good to get some sleep after she finally let go. Kiri quickly switched out of her +anima as her companion disappeared onto the top bunk, her bushy tail and ears vanishing, along with her fangs and claws. Afterwards, she quickly nestled herself under the warm blanket, closing her eyes. She tossed and turned for a while, before contented sleep finally came to her.

Waking up the nex morning, Mika felt entergetic enough to do three jobs all at once. Maybe telling Kiri that she was a +anima was a good idea, taking the weight off her shoulder and letting her be a bit more free to do what she wanted without thinking about it first, though doing that would make things a bit safer.
She jumped down from bed and sat down on Kiri's bed with a thunk, making Kiri bounce up off the bed slightly. She shook the girl slightly, trying to wake her up.
"It's morning!" Mika said happily, wanting to get downstairs for some breakfast.

Kiri's eyes shot open as she felt something smack into her bed, and then felt someone give her a slight shake.
"It's morning!" Mika chimed enthusiastically.
Kiri yawned as her companion let go, a moment passing before her heartbeat calmed from the abrupt wake up.
She sat up and wiped sleep out of her eyes with one hand. A smile appeared on her face, though, as she caught sight of Mika's. "Okay..." She started, still somewhat groggy. "Should we go downstairs to ask the innkeeper about jobs and get food?" She asked, figuring that that was what her companion had in mind.

"I was thinking more on the line of asking for breakfast, going down to the peir and then asking the innkeeper for a job" Mika replied. She was really looking forward to seeing her friends from the boat after a whole half year of traveling on land.
"Or do you have somthing you want to do?" she asked Kiri.

Kiri shook her head, giving another yawn. "No, that sounds fine to me."
Realizing how messy she must look, she quickly grabbed her hairbrush from her bag and fixed her hair and bows, straightening herself out. "Okay, let's go get something to eat!" She chimed, starting to wake up more.
When they both seemed ready, she started heading downstairs towards the lobby. Warm, mostly sweet scents started drifting to her nose before she even reached the bottom. It smelled like waffles were going to be the main available item. That was okay, she decided. They weren't her favorite type of breakfast - she preferred things like eggs, potatoes, and bacon, but they would do...and maybe there were also some side options.
The inn's few other guests were already gathered around tables set around the lobby when it came into view, busily eating what looked like mostly an assortment of waffles, pancakes, and fresh fruit. She walked into the room, looking for a plate.

Finding where the plates where, Mika took one and began to pile food on. Though she began only with some toast, an omlet, a fruit salad and a glass of milk, she was planning on eating much more than that. Sitting down at a tabel, she began to feast on her food quickly.
"So, how's your food?" she asked Kiri, eating her fruit salad, eating the banana pieces first. She wasn't going to get fruit for a while, so she might as well enjoy when she could.

Kiri also took one of the plates, grabbing a waffle with strawberry syrup, a couple of boiled eggs, and a bit of the fruit salad as well.
She decided to start on the waffle first - it was surprisingly big, she didn't know if she could eat all of it, but at least it would be filling.
"So, how's your food?"
She looked up at the sound of Mika's voice. "Good." She chimed - it was better that she'd expected, actually. "The waffle is sweet, but it's cooked just right. The cook back at the church usually used to burn them a bit." She added, smiling at the memory in spite of herself. "How's yours?"

"Good" Mika said. "But that waffle looks good, so I just might go get one" she said, a rather dreamy or distant look in here eyes as she thought about the waffle. Then, the thought of the church burning a waffle put a strange taste in her mouth and she puckered her lips slightly at the taste of it.
"I'll be back" she told her friend as she got up and walked over to the foods, grabbing a waffle and putting maple syurp and banana slices on it. She also grabbed a piece of bacon or two.
"It's not what you think" she told Kiri as she returned to the tabel. "I liked bananas before I got my...you-know-what" she said, softening her voice at the last part.

Kiri giggled a bit, before quickly catching herself. "Sorry..." She apologized, hoping that she wouldn't take it that the wrong way. "Of course not...I don't think my diet's changed either since..." She purposely made her voice trail of - they did have to be careful. Even though they could talk to each other about their +anima now, it might not be a particularly good idea in public.
"Say..." She wondered aloud, changing the subject. "What kind of food do you eat on the ship?"

"Well, most of the time it's fish" Mika said "but other times, we use something at the celler of the ship where everything is frozen. Down there, we have pickled foods, sacks of flour and sugar, and foods of that sort, but Tobi knows how to make fish taste...well, not like fish. It tastes really good the way he cooks it" she said, thinking about his sauteed fish with lemon juice and herbs, one of her favorite fish dishes.
"Ah...Im full" she said, leaning back in her chair after eating her last bit of waffle.

Kiri pondered over Mika's response as she stuffed down the last of the waffle, and began to move on to the eggs. Fish...pickled foods... She wasn't much used to that sort of thing. The last time she'd had fish had actually been back at the farm with her father - he'd been a good cook, and had made her all kinds of dishes, but the food at the church had been as basic as could be, and she didn't think she'd ever had fish there. It was something that was too expensive for her to buy when she was by herself, too. She wasn't so sure about the pickled foods, but she found herself actually looking forward to the fish. "Sounds pretty good!" She decided. "I like fish, but it's not something I've ever gotten very often."
She continued with her oranges after finishing her eggs, Mika's voice knocking her out of her thoughts as her companion announced that she was full. Kiri put the last piece of the fruit in her mouth at the comment, before realizing in surprise that she had in fact eaten it all. "Me too..." She agreed, suddenly noticing how full she was.

"Okay, then" Mika said, then sitting up right and then leaning slightly over the tabel. "So why don't we go down to the peir and see if they've came yet?" she asked her friend. Mika knew it wasn't that possible that the crew would already be here, but it wasn't that impossible. Then again, she just could wait. She could wait to be back on the boat, to get back on the waters and not caring about others finding out about her +anima.

Kiri blinked for a moment, and then smiled. "Okay!" She agreed eagerly. Was it really possible that they could be there already? She wasn't sure, but if Mika wanted to check that was fine with her. Regardless of whether they were there or not, it would be a chance to get close to the sea again. As much as she liked this town, she couldn't wait to be on top of those blue waves. There was something exciting and mysterious about the ocean. It was so big - and it held a whole other world inside of it, and when you float on top of that world like the birds do in the sky, you're connected to almost everywhere. She wondered what kind of places Mika and her friends had been to on their ship.
Getting up from the table, she started heading towards the door after a last yawn, and out into the main street that lead to the dock. There were even more people out on the streets today, with the sellers calling out their wares from their markets once again, and both visitors and town inhabitants hurrying about busily.
