"Yeah," Mika giggled. It was so weird that it ended up that both of them were +anima. Just to think, this whole time that they had been traveling, they were hiddening that one fact from each other.
"Let's just hope the boat comes early. I really want to intruduce you to Tobi. He's a total clutz, but he's really funny too." she said.

Kiri nodded. "Yeah, I can't wait to meet everyone." She tried to hide the slight anxiousness in her voice. She hoped everyone on the boat would like her - she would hate to have had Mika bring her all that way only for it to be a problem. She was excited about meeting yet another +anima, though. But... She wasn't particularly proud of the kind she was...
"Er..." She started slowly - if she asked this question, it'd probably mean she'd have to answer it back, too. "Just out of curiosity, what kind of +anima are you and Tobi?"

"Tobi is some kind of fish" Mika said "and I am a monkey," she said. She wasn't sure what type of fish Tobi was or what type of monkey she was. It was just the general, they had never bothered to look into it.
"What are you?" she asked. There was endless possibilites to being a +anima, so you could never really pinpoint it at first.

That Tobi person was a fish, and Mika herself was some sort of monkey, huh?
Having either would be so cool - a fish +anima would surely be able to explore the world under the sea as well as on top of it, and a monkey +anima would be bound to have high agility.
But...hers...
Kiri looked down slightly. "I'm a...skunk." She answered simply, distractedly scratching the back of her neck.

Mika inwardly laughed. She didn't laugh because of what she was, but how she said it. It just...it just sounded to her or maybe it was just that she needed to laugh. Either one, but as she thought of it more, she realized that being a skunk +anima could come in handy.
"That's cool" she finally said. "Must come in handy some times" she said.

"I guess..." Kiri replied, sounding uncertain. It did - but it wouldn't have been her first choice. She would have rather been something like a bird, or something with large teeth or claws. Even something like the high agility of a monkey sounded much more appealing. But, regardless, it was helpful as a last defense.
She took another nibble from her sandwich, her appetite starting to return now that the stress was over.

Mika finished up her bread and waited on Kiri to finish her dinner. Soon, during the waiting, she began to think on what type of food they were going to have on the boat. When she was there, it was usually fish, bread and jam, and stew, but nothing fancy that needed to be cold at all times.
"You ready to go now?" she asked, rather sleepy from the early up they had this morning.

Kiri nodded, stuffing the last bite into her mouth. "Yup!" She chimed, returning to her usual, perky self.
"Are we going to stay out, or are we gonna go back and see if the innkeeper has more jobs for us?" She asked, licking a few traces of mustard off her fingertips. It sounded like more fun to look around town some more, but they did need the money... She wasn't sure which she'd rather.

"I think we might have better chances going back to the innkeeper at this time of day..." Mika said, then poundering on the possiblites. At this time of day, most places were packing up and they could probably earn a bit of money that way, but they wouldn't have to waste time looking for the job.
"Never mind about that. We can help out the innkeeper tomarrow" she decided "Lets go look for some people that need help out in the market."

Kiri blinked, thinking a moment, before giving an enthusiastic nod. "Right. We get to see the town more that way, too."
With her fingers now clean, she got to her feet, heading towards the door.
Most of the shops outside were closed now, but the streets were still busy - villagers and tourists were busy heading back to their homes, and shopkeepers were storing their goods for the night.
She looked around, trying to find a shopkeeper that looked like they could use help. There were food sellers busy moving their products to somewhere where they wouldn't spoil, clothing and jewelry stores locking their wares away so that they wouldn't be stolen, and even a few other strange shops that sold things like toys and souvenirs. She glanced over at Mika. "What do you think?" She asked, trying to decide what the best place to look for work would be.

"Hm..." Mika hummed, examining the area. She couldn't find anything at the moment, and at this rate, they'd just have to go back to the inn. "I don't know..." she said, walking in the market area. I think we just missed all the good job opertunities[/i], she thought to herseld with an inward sigh.
"I think we might as well go back to the inn. Hopefully, the rooms come with a free breakfast" she said with a laugh. Most places she had been to had free breakfasts, but the fact that inn keeper could barely pay them, there might not be breakfast involved.

"I guess you're right..." Kiri sighed, almost disappointed - she liked the hustle and bustle of the market street. The thought of breakfast perked her up, though, despite the fact that she'd only just eaten. "Yeah, I hope so!" If they didn't get breakfast for free from the inn, it would put a dent in their already small earnings.
With that, she turned and started walking back to the inn. It was quite late now, so she doubted that the innkeeper would have anymore work for them for now. Perhaps they'd have better luck tomorrow...

"Okay, lets get back," Mika decided, turning around on her heel and headed back to the inn. It was hard to not spend the last of the money on the items from the stalls as they passed, but she was sure that her boat mates would have a nice 'welcome back gift' or something of the sort. She had been gone this long, they must have missed her. That, and, the ‘gift’ –if she ever got one- was a sorry gift for, most likely, wrecking the boat of some sort. She was always the one to keep every one in order.
Finally, she and Kiri reached the inn. The inn keeper stood at her front desk. She looked busier than before. Hopefully that ment that she was getting more business. Not wanting to disturb her, Mika lead Kiri back up to their room.
[[Sorry so long, I've had a writers block on both our rps]]

Kiri briefly admired their earlier work on the carpet as they stepped back inside the inn, before noticing how busy the innkeeper looked and quickly following Mika back upstairs.
It was darker in their room now, the light coming in through the window having waned as evening approached. Kiri quickly headed for the table where candles and matches rested as she came in, lighting them promptly - she never had much liked the dark.
Feeling more comfortable and satisfied once the candles were lit, she sat back down on her bed, holding her knees close to her chest. The room had a musty smell, but for some reason, she realized now, it reminded her of her old room, back at the farm with her father. The whole village was a bit like that. This one was by the sea and smelled like fish, while hers had been in the forest and smelled of pine and flowers, but it gave her a similar feeling... Maybe that was why she liked this place so much. It made her a bit homesick, but at the same time, it felt good.
Figuring that they would be staying at the inn for the rest of the day, Kiri absently started taking out the bows in her hair, before reaching down into the bag by her bed in search of pajamas. As she grabbed a shirt, it briefly occurred to her that she wouldn't have to worry about the marking on her back accidentally showing anymore. Before, she'd always been so careful about it.
"Hey..." She smiled up at Mika. "Would you mind showing me your "+anima?" She asked, not quite sure why she was so curious. Something about being with another +anima was just exciting! It was something she'd never really experienced before - she could count on one hand the times she'd even seen someone else like her.
[[No worries!]]

Mika was already on her bed, the top bunk, when Kiri asked her to show her +anima. With a happy nod, a tail popped out, but that was it. She also had a enchanced agility from the monkey, but that was about it. That was all she needed to save herself from that one faithful fall.
"Can I see your's" she asked, lying down on her bed, the tail disappering.
